Famously, the KJV was partly a response to the notes associated with the Genevan Bible, which tended to be Calvinistic and used politically-stigmatized language, like "tyranny/tyrant." Ironically, this didn't stop the publishers of this edition from annexing the notes of the Genevan Bible to the KJV. Here you can see the famous 'tyrants' note from Exodus 2.
