The Opelika Regional Center recently hosted SAVI Seminars, formerly known as Camp SAVI (seniors adjusting to visual impairments).
Through a collaborative partnership between the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services and AIDB Opelika Regional Center, SAVI builds confidence and teaches independent living to older Alabamians with vision loss and their loved ones. The camp included two and a half days of instructional activities and sessions about adaptive exercises, personal care, cooking, assistive technology, labeling, and games.
