It’s not perfect and we don’t aim for perfection, but there were lots of joy and beauty on our first day of school indeed. Happy first day OCCA!

Please note that the OCCA Campus will be closed from July 1 to July 5. We will resume regular summer hours on July 8th. We wish all of our OCCA families a wonderful Independence Day!

We are happy to announce that OCCA is now fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for grades 6 through 8!

Please note OCCA will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of the federal holiday. Summer hours will resume Thursday, June 20.

Orange County Classical Academy deeply values and believes in instilling Civic Virtue in our students. Every month of May, we invite the local law enforcement, fire department, and veterans to honor and appreciate them. This year, we had over 30 heroes who attended our Heroes Assembly where our students gave their speeches, sang the National Anthem, and showed them gratitude with gifts, cards, and food truck! We are very grateful for these heroes!

OCCA is officially a certified CIF high school! We got our approval to compete under the CIF banner for sports starting this fall. Stay tuned for which teams we will be hosting tryouts for!

Congratulations Academic Pentathlon! This past Saturday, our 7th/8th grade Academic Pentathlon teams competed in the Super Quiz coached by Mr. Noah Bush and Mrs. Pogue. The many months of hard work and perseverance for both the students and advisors was evident throughout the awards ceremony. Our 7th grade team took 2nd place and our 8th grade team took 3rd. We are so proud of the entire OCCA team!

A day dedicated to our amazing OCCA families! We are beyond grateful for the love and support of our OCCA Community. Thank you for everything you do!

Our Lower School held a Career Day Assembly this morning where our Board Members attended to talk about their jobs as a Bishop, Plumber, College Founder, Lawyer, and Civil Engineer. We sure have an impressive team!!!

Reminder: Tomorrow is minimum day. Lower School Dismissal is at 1:00 pm and Upper School Dismissal is at 1:15 PM.

Open Enrollment is NOW OPEN!

If you are interested in participating in OCCA's upcoming lottery for the '24-'25 school year, you can apply now! Open Enrollment is open until 2/24 and the lottery will take place online on 3/13. Open Enrollment also applies to siblings of current students, so make sure they don't miss it!

Reminder: This Friday will be a Minimum Day due to our Upper School Open House taking place. Our Upper School Open House is geared towards our current 5th through 8th grade families, as well as families who are interested in sending their child to our school in grades 6th through 9th in the upcoming school year. At the Open House, families will hear a presentation on the Mission and Vision of our school in the upper grades (6th through 12th), school information in preparation for next school year, see performances from our current upper school students, attend the Art and Science Fair, and visit classrooms and teachers. Please plan on arriving no later than by 4:15pm to not miss the presentation that begins at 4:30pm in the auditorium. We hope to see you there!

*Lower School Open House will be held in April separately and will accommodate current families in grades TK through 5th, as well as families who have been offered a spot for next school year only. Due to the high number of interest on the waiting list, we will not be able to accommodate families on the waiting list at this time.

For a decade, leaders from classical schools nationwide have gathered in Hillsdale to meet aspiring teachers on the eve of their graduation, and we look forward to the conversations students and schools will have on February 15. This year, the job fair is a key element in the new Classical Education Forum, which welcomes national leaders in K-12 education to the gathering for a discussion about classical education, its growth, and its future.
