We were honored to have Mr. Ed Kissee join us for Principal for a Day at Portola! Mr. Kissee was a student, teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Assistant Superintendent of HR for OUSD. He has a wealth of knowledge regarding education, and it was a great experience spending the morning with Mr. Kissee!!

Two lucky Matadors. One got an autograph and a real Major League Baseball from batting practice. The other got a t-shirt that was thrown up in the the stands.

Awesome day at the big A!!! Our students were there supporting our Band and thanks to our GRIP program for hosting even more students. Go Matadors!!!

AVID breakfast. Our teacher choose some amazing students who are invited to breakfast burritos, donuts and others yummy snacks to celebrate their academic successes. Another aspect of connecting with our students and celebrating college and career readiness.

Our amazing honors musicians performing tonight and tomorrow. They are also just great all around kids who do everything the right way on our campus!!! And we also have the best band director in town!!! Let’s go Matadors!!!
