Kirsten has been studying HEMA since 2015 with True Edge Academy of Swordsmanship in Utah and instructing regularly since 2018. She is a multi-medalist and one of the top-10 women's longsword competitors.

We're hosting a SoCal Swords mini tournament. Admission includes one longsword tournament and a water bottle cutting course.

There will be open longsword and advanced longsword tournaments, or access to just cutting. Sign up for either: longsword + cutting OR just cutting.

Competitors in open longsword can only compete if they have never medaled in an open longsword tournament in the past.

Tonight we will do a gear maintenance night. We can help you repair tears in your gloves, fix cord wrap failing, file burrs out of blades and shine up the rust. Get ready for SoCal Swordfight! We will also have the supplies there to sew patches on jackets, and a friend out who you can just pay to do it for you if you're unwilling to learn to sew :)

Next Saturday we will need all the help we can get as we do some last minute prep for SoCal Swordfight. Painting / cutting wood may be a thing, as well as rolling tatami to prepare us for day 1 of the event.

On either day people are welcome to come and play some games, spar, etc... but you have the themes!

**SPECIAL EVENTS THIS WEEKEND, LOCAL INSTRUCTORS YOU SHOULD REALLY CONSIDER COMING ON SUNDAY**

This weekend learn from Sean Franklin!!! He is an internationally recognized competitor, instructor, and the creator of both HEMA Scorecard and Sword STEM. Every class he teaches is invaluable and will certainly shape you as a fighter. He will be teaching two classes on Saturday, and two classes on Sunday (and one additional higher-level seminar on Sunday for instructors/aspiring instructors). We will still have regularly scheduled Beginners classes and Rapier on Sat and Sunday.

For those who do not already have a punch-card or unlimited membership, the classes will be $30 per person.

On Saturday evening we will be showing a movie in the school on the big screen/wall. The movie is still to be decided, but we have a projector. Bring some cushions and a snack, and get ready to relax ;)
