⭐️We’re filled with gratitude reflecting back on this past weekend’s inaugural Legacy Dinner, marking Spirit Christian Academy’s 25th year!

🌟Reuniting with cherished Alumni who shared tales of how SCA shaped their journeys was truly inspiring! This event was also a serving opportunity for our high school students, who took time from their busy weekends to serve up not just delicious food but also warmth and hospitality!

🌟This gathering wasn’t just about reminiscing; it was also about securing our school’s future for years to come. We give a huge thanks to everyone who joined us and to those who generously support our mission through their time, energy, and financial contributions.

🌟At SCA, we cherish the values of time, education, equipping, relationships, and servant leadership. Here’s to many more years working together to live out those values!

🎉Shoutout to our wonderful secondary teacher Mrs. Chavez who organized a teacher potluck to celebrate all the spring birthdays! Thank you Mrs. Chavez for the love you’ve poured out for our secondary staff!

SCA Secondary students, family, and staff came to serve at the OC Rescue Mission this morning, serving in the kitchen and warehouse.

☔️Rainy days at school mean indoor shenanigans during recess and lunch!

🚙Reminder to be safe while driving in the rain! May the Lord grant traveling mercies to our families this week during the storm 🙏

🧗Exploring God’s masterpiece in the San Gabriel mountains with our fearless principal and high school students – Mrs. Costes took several high schoolers last Friday - a perk of our hybrid schedule is the flexibility of pursuing adventure on the weekends!

🧗What a blessing! Canyoneering adventures that inspire courage, foster healthy boundaries, and build trust through mutual encouragement!

🍋 The citrus trees on the SCA Elementary campus have produced a bounty, and out students got to enjoy a sweet & healthy treat during their recess.

Reflecting on the year past and looking forward to the year to come!

Elementary has been busy busy!

The last week of school is always jam-packed with fun enrichment, activities, crafts, and celebrations!

Third and Fourth grade classes hosted a publishing party for a book they collaborated on and published!

Students sold their wares and delicious treats on Business Day!

And Mrs. Costes surprised the school with two special and feathered friends, Daryl and Dippy the ducks!

Congratulations to all our promoting kiddos, we love you and are so proud of all of you 💙💙

🔔This year Fourth Grade learned California history - check out their awesome CA missions projects!

🔔Some built models, others created videos, and all presented on the history and unique traits of their mission.

Kindergarten has been meeting career professionals- LAPD Officers, dermatologist, homemaker, CEO, non-profit founder, and more!

This week they dressed up for their dream jobs!

🍎”Spirit has such a wonderful community and support system and I have been overcome with all the kindness and respect from the parents, coworkers, and the administration.

🍎”Spirit was literally the answer to my prayers last year and time and time again I have seen what a blessing [it] has been for me and my family. Working here has given me the flexibility to do God’s work and teach, as well be there for my children and family.

🍎”Since I have been home more I have been able to see me youngest make tremendous strides in his physical therapy and meet major milestones. Being at this school and seeing how dedicated the parents and teachers are in giving our students a solid Christian education is inspiring.

🍎”I thank Spirit for showing me how important a parent’s role is in education, and I am so excited to bring my oldest son to Spirit next year!”

🛡️Mrs. Smith & I met in our church’s life group and she told me about a teaching position at Spirit... I have never experienced a more loving, joyful, and supportive school community. The families and staff are dedicated to being disciples of Christ and servants in his work.

🛡️The University Model was a new way of teaching for me. It's inspired more creativity and freedom in lesson planning and true partnership between the parents and myself. I love supporting parents and partnering together to make learning enjoyable. This partnership makes all the difference in our students' academic success, character development, and well-being.

🛡️I've also had more time with my family and less stress. I've grown in fellowship with other Christians and continue to grow in my personal relationship with Christ every year.

Our elementary students visited the Carlsbad Flower Fields today, and learned about agriculture and composting. 💐

The Carlsbad Flower Fields also gifted our school with a compost bin! We are all excited to use it, but please be sure to follow a few rules to discourage critters from getting into it and making a mess:

🌸 Keep the lid snapped shut when not using it
🍉 No meat or dairy items
🥦No plastic or metal
🌻Fruits, veggies, & paper items only
