On May 12, California's Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), through Cal/OSHA, issued new COVID-19 state employee safety guidelines for the lodging and hospitality industry for the lodging and hospitality industry; these new employee safety guidelines REQUIRE employers to create a written, COVID-19 Prevention and Exposure Control Plan, similar to the Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP).
