Hey everyone, Orange County patients need your help by signing this petition!

The City of Orange just greenlit construction on its Well 9 Filtration Facility.

They have selected a spot right next to AmeriPharma’s Infusion Center which provides vital medical treatments to thousands of patients.

The construction of this facility will make treating those patients impossible for a few reasons:

The construction will produce loud noise in excess of 80 decibels (According to Orange County Regulations, a maximum of 70 decibels around healthcare facilities is what is considered conditionally acceptable)
The ground-shaking as a result of this type of construction will make it risky for healthcare workers to perform intravenous injections in the infusion center as the needle may move during insertion
Debris and extra pollution from the construction site can expose vulnerable patients (many infusion patients are often immunocompromised) to possible complications

This will cause the AmeriPharma Infusion Center to shut down for the 6-7 months that are estimated for construction by the city. However, this assumes there will be no delays due to supply, labor, or COVID.

During that time, all of AmeriPharma’s patients will have to find another provider for their treatments. This will not be easy since these treatments are highly specialized, very expensive, and hard to get covered. Some may even be forced to go without.

Look, clearly the water supply is a very important issue for Southern California, and, fortunately, the city has several alternative locations they can use for the Filtration Facility.

In contrast, the health and safety of these patients is at least as important as the water supply. Options for getting treatment elsewhere, however, are much more limited (if any).

All we ask is that the City moves its construction to a location that does not affect our patients.
