This is only relevant to the people already in it.

1:00 pm - Yugioh Advanced Format Tournament
$10 entry. I am low on Infinite Forbidden so this tournament will be have store prizing as the prize support. For each person entered, you will guarantee get $7 of in store credit and the additional $3 will be put towards prizing also as in store credit. OTS packs will be given out as well.

2:00 pm - MTG CEDH Tournament
$12 entry. Information will be posted below.

6:00 pm - MTG Bloomburrow Commander Draft Tournament
$32 entry. Each player will be given a Bloomburrow collector pack and 3 Bloomburrow play booster packs. Each player will open the collector pack first and keep all of the contents. Then, each player will open a play booster pack and pick two cards and pass it to the next person. Normal draft rules apply except two cards are chosen each person. After the draft, each player needs to build a 60 card deck including the commander. This draft/build round will be limited to 1 hour. Lands will be provided. Singleton rule does not apply. Each player will play in 1v1 matches. Best 2 out of 3 games wins. Each player gets 30 life and can lose when they reach 16 commander damage. Rounds will be 1 hour. 3 rounds max. For each person entered, one play booster pack will be put towards prizing.

Sunday 8/8
12:00 pm - MTG Standard Showdown Tournament
$10 entry. Each player will get 2 Bloomburrow play booster packs for finishing the tournament. For each player entered, 0.5 play booster packs will go towards prizing. Promo packs and old promo cards will be handed out as supplies last. We are doing three rounds that will be 50 minutes each. I do have a small amount of Cowboy Bebop promos.

3:00 pm - D&D 50th Anniversary Play Series – Player's Handbook (2024)
Free entry. We will be having running this event for anyone that wants to join. For those of you that preordered your books or participate in the event, we have promotional D20's we will be handing out as supplies last.

Our 50th Anniversary Play Series – 2024 Player's Handbook event is: Uni and the Hunt for the Lost Horn

Uni the unicorn's horn has been magically stolen, and it's up to you to find it! Who could be behind this nefarious deed? An adventure featuring beloved characters from the classic Dungeons & Dragons cartoon series using the new 2024 Player's Handbook rules! 4th level characters are available along with rules references for the 2024 rules. We will be trying to keep the group down to 4-6 players. There are seven total pre-generated characters to choose from.

3:00 pm - Casual Commander Tournament
$12 entry. Details listed below.

Rules for the MTG Casual Commander Tournament
$12 entry. Each player will be given two Bloomburrow play booster packs for finishing the tournament. For each player entered in the tournament, we will be adding 1 Bloomburrow play booster pack to the prize pool. 3 Rounds. 75 minute rounds. Once time runs out, at the end of the current players turn, there will be on more full rotation.

Point system:
1st - 4 Points
2nd - 3 Points
3rd - 2 Points
4th - 2 Points

If a player were to kill other players on the same turn those players would all get the same points. For example if there are 3 players left and 2 of them are eliminated on the same turn, they would both get 3 points.

I know that not everyone may like these rules, but it will be a work in progress to try to make these feel more like a casual game and not a CEDH tournament. The ultimate goal is to not have someone cheese the system and create "feel bad games" while still not just cornering the decks into being green only. Advice will be taken, but I will also not be trying to make people feel like their decks are targeted by any future rules changes.
Rules:

No I "win the game" cards. (ex. Thassa's Oracle, Lab Maniac, Hellkite Tyrant, etc.)
No infinite combos. (I know some combos aren't infinite but I will have to see them and make decisions accordingly).
No extra turns.
No extra combat phases (Thanks )
15 Poison Counter = Loss. (May raise in the future if abused).

The ban list for cards is going to be the Duel Commander Ban List https://www.duelcommander.com/en/ with the exception of Sol Ring.

In Scarlet & Violet—Stellar Crown, players will be able to immerse themselves in the Terastal phenomenon, first seen in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, with the introduction of Stellar Tera Pokémon ex to the Pokémon TCG. Each Stellar Tera Pokémon ex will have a special stellar attack with names inspired by various gemstones, which will cost three different types of Energy to use. In addition, the upcoming expansion also features unique illustrations highlighting the brilliant crystalline qualities of the Stellar Tera Pokémon ex.

Players can also look forward to encountering Archaludon, Hydrapple and the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, originally discovered in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, making their official debut in the Pokémon TCG.

I will be keeping the shop open past our usual 10 p.m. closing time (which seems to be pretty normal at this point). I will at a minimum keep the shop open until 1:00 a.m. for everyone to pick up MH3 products as early as possible.
It looks like WPN isn't supporting this set with promotional material as much as I'd like. The only thing I see is buy-a-box promos for Flusterstorm.

To everyone who preordered Modern Horizons 3. I spoke with all of my different distributors today. One of them gave me all of my numbers (The distributor I ordered the least from), one told me that I would find out the week before prerelease. The other gave me allocation numbers for everything except gift bundles and collector commander deck displays. I will reach out to everyone as soon as I find out. However, do keep in mind that these items are going to be allocated poorly to LGS's. My rep told me he has heard of many stores only getting 1 display or even none. Luckily, I have been blessed to be a larger purchaser from my distributor so I hope that gives me better luck. I asked him to update me as soon as he can about my allocation numbers. Unfortunately, it is out of my hands and all I can do is wait on more information.

Outlaws of Thunder Junction Commander Party surrounds several vaults that players can add counters to as Upstanding Citizens—or take the loot and go On the Run.
This event will have promo Costly Plunder cards for everyone that participates.

Openings for this league are still open but they will be closed after this week due to the allowance of only 1 bye week.

As a reminder, we will still be giving out Oltec Matterweaver, Transmutation Font, and Cultivate Promos out for bringing a new player to an event at the shop.

18th:
I'm moving the MTG Outlaws of Thunder Junction 60 Card Escalation League to Sundays at 12:00 p.m.

19th:
6:00 p.m. Start of MTG Outlaws of Thunder Junction Precon Escalation League Details are above.

20th:
2:00 p.m. MTG Outlaws of Thunder Junction Bundle Blast. Entry will be $36. This includes the purchase of the bundle, however one pack will be set aside to for prizing. You will be able use the bundle promo card and the remaining 8 packs to build a 40 card deck to compete in a swiss style tournament. As additional prizing, I will be giving out promo packs and leftover promo cards.

6:00 p.m. MTG Outlaws of Thunder Junction Open House. This event is free to join.
WPN Rules for promos "Provide each participant with a copy of the Open House promo; provide a second copy of the promo to players that bring a friend and to the friend they bring." The promo is Diabolic Tutor. This is only as supplies last.

6:00 p.m. MTG Outlaws of Thunder Junction Draft (This will not change). Entry will be $18 and that will get you 3 packs to draft with and 1.5 packs will go towards prizing. Additionally, I will be adding promo packs to the prizing and maybe some leftover promos cards.
