Staff Spotlight: Julie B. Clark, PhD, Licensed Psychologist, Clinical Director of Experiential and Education Programs & Outpatient Clinical Director, Orem Location
Dr. Clark is one of the co-founders of Center for Change. She received her PhD in Counseling Psychology with a minor in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University in August 1984. She received a Masters Degree in School Psychology in 1981 from Brigham Young University. Dr. Clark has specialized in women’s issues for 21 years in both outpatient and inpatient settings. These issues include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, abuse, dissociative disorders and self esteem difficulties. Dr. Clark has been involved in program development for children, adolescents and adults in various mental health settings. She also provides individual, group, and family therapy. Dr. Clark is the Clinical Director over the Dietary Department, Experiential Therapies, Outpatient Treatment and Cascade Mountain High School, the on-site school program, at Center for Change.

Staff Spotlight: Mikayla Kartchner, CSW, Cottonwood Heights Location
Mikayla graduated with her Master of Social Work degree from Boise State University, and has experience working with eating disorders, women’s health, trauma, substance abuse, and autism. She favors an eclectic therapy approach to meet the unique needs of each individual she works with. Mikayla is particularly passionate about working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community as well as those who experience eating disorders. Mikayla is dedicated to helping others detach from shame and reconnect with themselves through radical acceptance, creative exploration, and empowerment.
