Today marks SEVEN YEARS since I graduated from massage school. If you had asked me what I wanted to do with my life before massage school, I would’ve told you I had no idea. Massage therapy had the most perfect timing in my life, and has been such a beautiful growth experience! This wonderful client of mine has been seeing me weekly since the beginning of June after a total knee replacement, and cupping has been one of the most effective therapies for her! So what is cupping, and what does it help with?

Cupping uses vacuum pressure to decompress soft tissue and increase blood circulation in areas they are applied to, which stimulates healing. They may also help to reduce trigger points and relieve overall pain! Cups work myofascially as well, reducing scar tissue and fascial adhesions!

Fascia feels things!

Previously thought to be just a casing for our insides, scientists have discovered that fascia is so much more! It has nerves, it allows our muscles to move smoothly, and it connects us from head to toe. It's a lot like a spiderweb: when a fly lands on one piece, the entire web feels the vibrations!

That means it's just as important to treat fascia as it is to treat the muscles, because it can get wound up and feel stuck due to physical and emotional stress, too! This can be achieved through myofascial release, which is a technique designed to relieve tightness and restore mobility in the fascia.

Hello, people of Facebook! Let me introduce myself. I'm Jennifer, but most people call me Jenn. I've always had an affinity for helping people, and after a lot of soul-searching over many years I ended up in the holistic healthcare field. I graduated from Central Florida School of Massage Therapy in 2015, where I now teach in addition to my practice.

My primary focus is always making sure my clients leave feeling like the best version of themselves: body, mind, and spirit! Massage is my art, and I always design services to fit each individual through the many techniques I've studied over the years.
