The Effect of Applied Behavior Analysis and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on Parental Involvement 07/06/2021

Dear Fellow Practitioners

Admin, please disregard if not allowed.

My name is Saimary Rivero. I am a doctoral student at Walden University’s Clinical Psychology
Program. I am kindly requesting your participation in a doctoral research study that I am
conducting titled: “The Effect of Applied Behavior Analysis and Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy on Parental Involvement”. The intention is to assess for differences in difference in parent involvement regarding handling their children with ASD between those exposed to both ABA and ACT interventions compared to those who were only exposed to ABA training. The study involves completing basic demographic information and one surveys: Parent Involvement Questionnaire (PIQ) (Solish et al., 2015). Participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any time. The study is completely anonymous; therefore, it does not require you to provide your name or any other identifying information. If you would like to participate in the study, please click the following link. This survey is for BCBAs and BCaBA only

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FVXFQ2J

Your participation in the research will be of great importance to assist in social change in ensuring that parents of children with Autism are receiving adequate and effective service. Thank you for your time and participation.
Sincerely,
Saimary Rivero, MS, Doctoral Student
Walden University.
