We had a great time last night with our New Music Ensemble at UCF Celebrates the Arts with "Plot/Twist"! It was an evening filled with world premiere music and amazing improvised drama with nationally acclaimed improv comedians Rick Andrews and Louis Kornfeld.

We had a spectacular weekend with UCF Opera performing to not one, but two SOLD-OUT houses this weekend at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts!

Flyin' high last night with the Flying Horse Big Band! They performed "Love Lost and Love Found" for their UCF Celebrates the Arts concert in Steinmetz Hall with special guests Rob Paparozzi, DaVonda Simmons, Jeff “T-Bone” Gerard, and a cameo by David Soto Zambrana.

This Saturday: Central Florida SaxFest is back! The event features activities for middle school, high school, college and community saxophone players, including performances, clinics and a saxophone reading session. There will be vendors displaying saxophones and related products. Bring your saxophone!

Signed up for UCF Music’s clarinet day yet? Don’t miss your chance to join us for the 34th anniversary of this event, featuring special guest Wesley Ferreira, Professor of Clarinet at Colorado State University!

Attendees will enjoy recital and clinic experiences, and a performance by Orlando’s own Licorice Sticks Clarinet Orchestra. At the end of the day, there will be a mass clarinet choir reading session – everyone is included! Make sure to bring your clarinet, and all instruments in the clarinet family are encouraged.

Registration will begin at 12:00 noon, and events run from 12:30 to 5:30 PM.

Join us on Friday, February 9, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Nicholson Auditorium to experience The Flying Horse Big Band's first concert of the new year! The evening will also feature special guest Loren Schoenberg, who is currently serving as Juilliard Jazz faculty and the senior scholar of the National Jazz Museum in Harlem.

The UCF Choirs and members of the UCF Symphony Orchestra and music faculty are joined by vocal jazz quartet "RESOLVE" for an evening of music and merriment. With holiday favorites, spirituals and carols you know and love, this event will leave people of all ages filled with love, laughter and lasting holiday cheer.

On November 28, join us at Steinmetz Hall at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for a special concert by the UCF Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, with special guests from Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando. 🎶

The unique centerpiece of the performance is a new work entitled, “Ascendant Cycles” for solo hip-hop artist and wind ensemble, featuring rap artist and activist, Linqua Franqa, who co-composed and performed the world premiere of the piece.
