Latitude28 and I were blessed to perform at multiple Margaritavilles across the globe. These were some of our favorite performances. So today, it saddens us to hear the news of the passing of the one and only: Jimmy Buffett...
We will be forever grateful for you, your music, and everything your presence has graced, from cafes to hotels, cruises and more. Whenever it came to anything related to "Jimmy Buffet", there was always good music, good times, and good memories with good friends. This is your legacy.
“If there is a heaven for me, I’m sure there is a beach attached” – Jimmy Buffett
I'm sure there is, Jimmy, just for you.
Cheers, Sir Jimmy Buffett... Rest well. 💙
Time to make some noise. Please share.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the love lately from those who’ve accessed the AYV course. I’ve seen so many super talented people hurt their careers before it even starts and that was one of the reasons I wanted to do this. The other reason is that artists don’t realize how far they can really go in areas such as exposure and income, etc.
In 2 short years, Latitude28 had accomplished more than other bands 10-20 years in the game, and sitting on this information as to how we did it is not helping me or anyone else. Our own reality show on Amazon Prime, the only successfully-touring band during the pandemic, verified (the old way) in 2 years, album launch in the iHeart radio studio, on rosters for Disney, Hard Rock and Margaritaville, multiple streams of income into the band, and so much more… it was definitely an adventure that I want all artists to experience, plus more. So thank you for the love, and I can’t wait to see the next part of your journey. ❤️ Rooting for you all the way!

It's been a long day, but I didn't want the night to end without this post.
As a Global Indian Ambassador of Arts and Female Empowerment, I try my best to live up to that title every single day. They say you have to show up as who you want to be, and sometimes I show up as an Ambassador, sometimes as an artist, sometimes as a DV survivor, sometimes as a coach, sometimes as a daughter, sister or aunt, etc. But what I realized is that no matter what's going on that day, I always show up as WOMAN: meaning I get through it all with determination, with love, sometimes with tears, but I get through it.
This International Women's Day, I wish all women the love, respect, empowerment, equality, and everything else I usually do, but also today, I want to remind women that it's okay to not be okay. It's okay to feel hopeless sometimes, to feel like you are not where you want to be or that things are not going as planned. It's okay to not know everything, to be everything or do everything. It's okay to rest, to take a break, or to cry if you need to.
And so today (and every day), I ask that you be kind to yourself, be patient with yourself, love yourself, and always choose happy. Either way, you WILL get through it. You always do. You are WOMAN.
Love and light to you always...
Anisa
If you haven’t check it out yet, please do. ❤️🙏🏽
Scarred Wings Still Fly: Breaking the Chains of an Abusive Relationship and its Aftermath Scarred Wings Still Fly: Breaking the Chains of an Abusive Relationship and its Aftermath
I had a rough day today. One that involved tears, which is ok, but also one that involved a feeling, for a moment, where I was giving up, not a common thing for me at all. I wiped my tears, went to make some tea and found a package. A book that was published, and that I was supposed to receive a year and a half ago… just arrived, just in time to remind me who I am. And just like that, I came back. The universe/God is always there to remind you what you need to remember. Just listen.
So proud to announce my daughter's launch of her new book series available now on Amazon. She has always been very passionate about her travels and I'm so happy to see her add to her experiences by writing about them to educate other kids, as well. She's been working very hard on this for quite a few months now and she promises to continue adding to this collection. Please do check it out.
Congratulations, Amaya!

Amaya, you are a remarkable example of resilience, strength, and determination. All the while, you remain smiling, creating joy all around you, finding happiness in places where most don’t. I pray that today, and all your years to follow, you are blessed with the same happiness that you bring to those around you, that you never stop believing and that you continue to live life to the fullest. I love you more than you’ll ever know. Hope you have a wonderful day today on yet another adventure. Happy and healthy 10th birthday, my love.
The feedback I'm getting lately is incredible, not only from those who have experienced abuse, but from family and friends of victims, even men who have no experience with this topic... are all taking something valuable from this book. Thank you so much for all the feedback. Please take a quick read or a listen if you haven't already. It might equip you to help save a life. 💜🙏
Scarred Wings Still Fly: Breaking the Chains of an Abusive Relationship and its Aftermath Scarred Wings Still Fly: Breaking the Chains of an Abusive Relationship and its Aftermath
They say “everything happens for a reason”.
For 5 years I was caught in a dangerously abusive relationship, one where I was not allowed to have music in my life. But music was in my soul.
Within a year of finally breaking free, I released a song that shot up to #1 on the charts, which allowed me to travel the world and create the platform I have today.
These two things happened for a reason… for me to use an international platform to help others break free from the chains of domestic abuse.
Thank you, Global Indian Series, for hearing my story and understanding the importance of carrying on these conversations across borders. And also, thank you for such a role within an organization that knows no boundaries when it comes to helping, educating, and empowering people around the world. It truly is an honor.
Much more to come soon…
