This community event is open to all ages and geared towards kids of District 5. It will take place Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. located at Interstruct, 814 W. Church Street, Orlando, FL 32805. There will be an 8 a.m. shuttle pick up.

Light Orlando is looking for 2,000 volunteers on August 24 to pack 1,000,000 meals to be distributed to charities that assist families in our community that struggle with food insecurity.

Recently I had a meeting with several of the neighborhood association presidents to hear their concerns, vision, and goals for their neighborhood. I look forward to working together to build a strong unified District 5.
I am committed to supporting senior services. Recently I visited for a partnership with ACA O Healthcare, which aims to enhance the quality of life for seniors in the community. This collaboration is dedicated to providing comprehensive support that helps seniors maintain their independence and stay in their homes longer.

This is a Construction Pre-Apprenticeship program put on in partnership with Parramore Kidz Zone, Mercy Drive Kidz Zone, and the City of Orlando Youth Employment. There were 19 amazing students who graduated and 8 of which are from PKZ and MDKZ.
Thank you to the Orlando Housing Authority for inviting me to come learn more about the upcoming projects and the great work they are doing with the residents.
We broke ground on the courtyard, part of the FORDify the Arts campaign. This will help ensure that the historic Rogers-Kiene Building on Magnolia Avenue in Downtown Orlando continues to be an important resource for our community.
Itโs also a testament of the impact of the late Ford Kiene, a long-time supporter of Orlandoโs arts scene who donated the building to the city prior to his passing a few years ago.
Thank you to the residents and businesses that attended the Vision and Listening Session. It was well attended; city departments came out to share District information, and we look forward to the next session coming soon.

Last night, I joined the McFall Neighborhood Associationโs meeting with the Orlando Police Department to encourage residents to join a Neighborhood Watch Group! This program empowers neighbors to get to know each other and provides training on reducing opportunities for crime to occur.
