Outside of work, Alen enjoys hiking, whether it’s through nature or urban trails. 🥾🏞️ He considers himself pretty decent at sketching and painting ✍️🎨and he can cook a mean omlet! 🥚🍳

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We are thrilled to welcome Austyn Pribble as our new Accounting Manager to the L2 Team! 🎉 Austyn is stepping into her new role with enthusiasm and a fresh perspective, ready to tackle new challenges and grow with L2.

Born and raised in Orlando, Austyn recently celebrated her marriage to her husband, Zach, and they share their home with a lovable black lab named Milo. Austyn has always had a passion for numbers. She is excited to apply her skills and learn from our experienced team, especially following in the footsteps of Alisa, who has set a high standard over the past 11 years.

Outside of work, Austyn enjoys Orangetheory, shopping, walking Milo, perfecting homemade lattes, and relaxing at the beach with a good book. Some fun facts about Austyn: she’s not named after the city in Texas, despite frequent questions! And she met her husband during a group tour in Europe—how romantic! ❤️

Katie brings a quiet confidence and a hard-working, detail-oriented approach to our team. Recently graduating Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University (Go Noles!) with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture & Design, she is eager to learn and work alongside our talented interior designers and architects. Katie is particularly interested in mastering construction systems to design more intentionally and holistically. She is a member of NEWH and is excited to build connections within the design community.

Outside of work, Katie loves spending time outdoors—whether it's at the beach, on the lake, playing softball, or strolling around Downtown Winter Garden. She's also huge Marvel fan! "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" are her favorites!

🎉Let’s give a huge round of applause to 🌟Marie Hewitt🌟 for her incredible achievements! 🎓Marie has not only earned her Master’s in Architecture but has also obtained a Certificate in Sustainable Architecture from the University of Florida CityLab Orlando. Her unwavering dedication to learning and growth is truly inspiring.

Despite the challenges of juggling a full-time job as a flight attendant, while also working at L2 Studios and attending graduate school, Marie has persevered with unmatched determination.🌟Beyond the classroom, she actively seeks to apply her knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the world. Last summer, she embarked on a life-changing study abroad program focused on sustainable bamboo construction in Indonesia. Collaborating with students at The Bandung Institute of Technology, Marie played a vital role in designing an outdoor pavilion for Gasol Village, a rural community affected by a 5.6 magnitude earthquake.🌏

Marie’s commitment to her education and passion for sustainability have not gone unnoticed. She has been honored with prestigious scholarships, including the James Gamble Roger’s II scholarship and the HKS CityLab Scholarship.💡As Marie continues to grow in her career as an architect, she remains steadfast in her vision for a more sustainable and equitable future—an inspiration to us all. We’d like to give a shoutout to Sean Nimmons for receiving the CBA Scholarship Award, earning the top prize for his cohort. This milestone marks the halfway point of his journey in the UF CityLab master’s in architecture program.
Sean's project, which earned him this accolade, navigated Florida’s new Live Local Act with finesse, addressing the pressing need for affordable housing. Bridging the gap between high-rise condos and suburban neighborhoods, he proposed creating a live-work community in Orlando's Parramore District, with a strong emphasis on sustainable construction and economic practices. Cheers to Sean for his exceptional work and dedication to making a positive impact!

📣⭐️L2’s Tim Lemons and Tommy Hagood joined the groundbreaking for a new Sales Gallery for the Hyatt Vacation Club Resort at Coconut Cove in Bonita Springs, FL. We appreciate the opportunity to continue our great relationship with the Hyatt brand to construct this new facility designed to complement the existing resort and celebrate the beautiful coastal environment that surrounds this vacation destination. “Fore” the love of mini-golf! Our L2 Putt Squad had a “hole” lot of fun last Saturday at AIA’s 5th Annual Mini Golf Tournament to raise money for the OFA Scholarship fund.

📣Congratulations to our friends at Kolter Homes! 👏👏They truly understand what is important to home buyers in the 55 plus demographic—family and friends and enjoying the good life! Kolter tapped L2 to bring our hospitality expertise to the design of the clubhouse for Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes. Our interior design team went beyond aesthetics to prioritize the social aspects of the space. From wine tastings, to game nights, to art & craft workshops, to the state-of-the-art SmartFIT workout center, together we designed a vibrant hub for residents to enjoy, stay active, and feel connected. The Cresswind Georgia clubhouse was our first project with Kolter, back in 2020 during Covid and we’ve been collaborating with them ever since!

It’s been a FESTIVE Friday!!

We always look forward to attending the annual Nathaniel's Hope Thanksgiving Breakfast, and this year was extra special because the Master Plan for their biggest endeavor yet was unveiled—HOPETOWN—a dedicated residential community coming to Central Florida where adults with disabilities can live, work and play in an environment of friendship and inclusion. This major initiative will positively impact scores of adults with disabilities throughout Central Florida, and beyond and we are honored to support Nathaniel’s Hope in helping to make this dream a reality.

The NEWH Sunshine Chapter SoulShine Silent Auction was fabulous! We were happy to celebrate this year’s Top ID winners. Great work! And to the nine NEWH Scholarship recipients, congratulations and keep reaching for the stars.🌟

Special SHOUTOUT to L2’s Sara Nelson, NEWH VP/Development and the entire SoulShine Event Planning team! A lot of time was put into planning this incredible event—and it showed. 👏👏

We had a great morning walking with Team “Cruising for Kaitlyn” at the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida Buddy Walk at Lake Eola. Every year we look forward to walking with Kaitlyn, who recently turned sweet sixteen!❤️❤️Kaitlyn, continues to prove that when the right support and therapies are provided for individuals with Down Syndrome, there is nothing they cannot achieve.Team Cruising for Kaitlyn team raised more than $6,000 👏👏for Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida and scholarships are given to families who need assistance getting therapies for their children and adults with Down Syndrome. The donations also assist in educating parents, health professionals and the community.

Introducing Rizwan Shamsi, NCIDQ, RID, the newest member of our L2 team! Riz brings a wealth of experience to our team and a passion for delving into the intricate details of design— especially when it comes to the technical and behavioral factors affecting lighting design and how people interact within a space. We can already see he’s a team player with a can-do attitude. Did we mention he’s a Revit wiz? He and his wife are also proud parents of two lovely daughters, who definitely keep them on their toes! Please give Riz a warm welcome.
