The KerberRose team stepped out of the office and into the community with Portage County’s Ignite Young Professionals! Our Stevens Point team members Shannon Czaplinski, Caleigh Sutherland, Susan Moll, and Karli Klismith had the opportunity to tour the new Food + Farm Exploration Center in Plover, Wisconsin.

The agricultural center offers educational training for students, onsite exhibits and equipment, cooking classes, and field events for the community. This location holds the world's largest functional potato masher, along with the Colorful Plate Café that strictly uses locally grown food and products!

Community-oriented is one of our core values, and we take pride in supporting our communities through events like the Woodson YMCA Golf Outing.

By sponsoring the 19th Annual "Giving on the Greens", we contributed funds to provide children and families access to YMCA programs and services, regardless of their financial situation.

Some of our Wausau office members, including Patrick Malone, Trevor Maki, Dan Lohff, and James Uelmen, enjoyed a beautiful day on the greens while supporting this wonderful initiative.

Last night's Farmers' Market on Broadway was a success thanks to some of our incredible "Certified Pouring Advisors" (CPA). After interning with us intermittently since June 2023, Carter joins KerberRose as a full-time Staff Auditor in our Appleton office. Carter recently graduated from UW-Whitewater with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and we look forward to his continued growth and success!

Joining our Green Bay office, Baileigh brings three years of public accounting experience to her role as Senior Auditor. She holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from Concordia University and is currently pursuing a Master's in Accountancy. Baileigh's expertise will be a valuable addition to our team.

With childcare costs climbing to record highs, Wisconsin families may get much-needed relief thanks to Assembly Bill 1023, signed on March 4, 2024. This bill provides substantial relief for families with dependents.

For the 2024 tax year, Wisconsin families can claim double the childcare expenses on their taxes, jumping from 50% to 100% of the federal credit. The cap on eligible expenses has been raised to $10,000 for one dependent and $20,000 for two or more. This means families can expect higher tax refunds of up to $2,000 to $3,500 for one child, or $4,000 to $7,000 for two or more children.

If you are a Wisconsin resident with children or dependents, be sure to take advantage of this valuable tax credit when filing your 2024 taxes.

Claudia is joining us as a Senior Auditor in our Appleton office. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and marketing from UW Madison and has three years of valuable audit experience.

We welcome Chris as a Senior Auditor in our Oshkosh office, who earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from UW-Stevens Point and is a Certified Public Accountant. He brings with him both internship and full-time experience in public accounting.

Van joins our Audit team in Appleton as a Staff Auditor. Van holds an Associate degree in Accounting from NWTC and a bachelor's degree in accounting from UW-Green Bay. He also holds an Accounting Assistant Certificate and Small Business Bookkeeping Certificate, along with prior experience in accounting and bookkeeping roles.

We believe all three individuals will make valuable contributions to our Audit team. Welcome aboard!
