Your student’s school-issued Chromebook, case, charging block, and cord will be returned this spring. We will be collecting these items at Osseo Middle School on Wednesday, June 5. All student devices will be stored safely over the summer and be redeployed in the fall.

On Wednesday, June 5, all devices will be inspected by district personnel. Devices must be charged at 50% before turning them in.

Parent Reminder Announcement:
Thursday, June 6th is the last day of school, and we are having our annual school-wide celebration that day. There will be a modified class schedule, and students will be released to the celebration by grade levels starting at 12:00 PM (after 6th period).

Because students will be spread out during the celebration (both inside and outside the building), it will be difficult to locate students leaving early that day. If your student needs to leave early, please pick them up prior to 11:30 AM or have them report to the main office (if they’re leaving during the celebration).

To ensure the safest environment for our Osseo Middle School community on the last day of school, students may only bring a writing utensil to school. No backpacks will be allowed, and all bags with be checked as students enter the building. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Meteorologist visits with sixth graders at Osseo Middle School Sixth graders at Osseo Middle School recently had the opportunity to hear from Kare11 meteorologist Jamie Kagol. The students learned what it is like to be a meteorologist and heard from Kagol about a number of topics they are learning in class.

Attention Osseo Middle School incoming 6th grade families. We look forward to welcoming your student to our school for the 2024-2025 school year! This is a reminder that we are hosting an Open House & 2024-2025 Registration Event at Osseo Middle School tomorrow evening (Thursday, January 25th). Learn more about our school and meet staff members by attending one of two presentations in our cafeteria at 5PM or 6PM. Students and families will also have an opportunity to purchase items from our Oriole Bucks Shop, receive a tour of our school, and get registered for next school year. See you TONIGHT!

• The school dance is an extension of the school day. Students are expected to follow the Oriole Way at all times during the dance. If a student is not following OMS expectations, parent/guardian will be notified to come pick up the student.
• Students will not be allowed to attend the dance if they have received PASS or OUT OF SCHOOL SUSPENSION or ADMINISTRATIVE DISMISSAL from January 25th through February 15th. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
• Please keep backpacks and drawstring bags at home. They will NOT be allowed in the dance. Purses or small items will be checked before entering the dance.
• Students will not be allowed in the dance before 5 pm and must be picked up promptly at 6:30 pm.
• Concessions will be available for purchase. Please have students bring money to the dance if they are interested in purchasing items.
• Students must have a ticket to enter the dance (one ticket per person) and will be sold the week of February 5th though February 14th during Advisory. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

Attention Osseo Middle School families of current 6th and 7th grade students. During advisory today, your student(s) will receive information regarding the 2024-2025 registration process. They will be viewing a slideshow and bringing home a registration form. Please review and complete the registration form with your student(s) and have them bring their completed form to school next week on their registration day. 6th grade students will register during their Science class on Thursday, January 25th and 7th grade students will register during their Science class on Tuesday, January 23rd. If you have questions about the registration process and/or about our middle school courses, please visit our website for more information.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held at OMS on Thursday,January 25th from 3:30-7:00pm and also on Tuesday, January 30th from 3:30-7:00pm. These conferences will be held in their classrooms.
