Last season, from August 8th through May 31st, you helped us serve 79,881 meals to our homeless neighbors, friends, and families in need. Without the ongoing support from our community, so many of our very own would have gone hungry.
Can we rely on your help again this season? On an exciting note, we will be kicking off our next season at 5:00 pm tomorrow, August 1st. This means that we will have an extra week to feed any individual or family who might find themselves homeless and hungry.
So, how can you help? We’re glad that you asked! Our biggest need at this time is for dinners to be provided or sponsored for our shelter guests. Donors can use our facility and our food items to prepare meals onsite, they can prepare the meals ahead of time at home and deliver the prepped food to the shelter, or they can even support a local restaurant and order dinner in if that’s what works best. If you can help us out with one dinner a season, one dinner a month, or even one dinner a week, you will make a huge difference in the lives of so many.
Please send us a message through Facebook, e-mail us at [email protected], or call us directly at (815)433-1292 to get signed up to help right away. After all, no one deserves to go hungry.
