Bodhi Conscious Massage, LLC will have a new home soon! Just finalized all the details for a move coming up next month! It’s an amazing upgrade in every way for my practice and my clients!!! Such a blessing to finally have found a setting that supports me and my work with practitioners with minds that align with mine! Omg! Really couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect and I am so damn excited to go to work in the new space! Prepare to have your minds blown!!! This is like a huge miracle in my life to be able to rest in this space with such amazing practitioners who will push me to another level and I can’t freaking wait! Oh, you will hear more, trust me! Mixing a witches brew....inspired by my leanings towards alchemy. Essential oils of Copaiba, Lime, Vertiver, and Citrus Fresh, all from Young Living. Bay Leaves whole, to steep in it. For the hell of it I threw in some Dragon’s Blood, Copal, and Frankincense and Myrhh resins. All of this in a coconut/lime base lotion from Whole Foods. Can’t wait for it to fill my studio with aroma!

There is something exquisite about aligning and body and watching the soul inhabit the new found space. Breathe.

This is very poignant. The difference between my clients body/minds in the different seasons is totally palatable. Now, with the long extended summers, this period of deep introspection and renewal is delayed. I believe the first “signal” of this is the change is in the light, as the sun sets earlier and rises later. With horses we notice this as the their coats change in preparation for winter. The dogs coats quit shedding and the squirrels do their thing. Our body/minds intuitively respond and I observe this in my office as people get more introspective and into deeper states of relaxation are more frequent. A lot of clients are falling asleep as if they are recovering some much needed rest in their busy, full lives. Some of the disruption caused by our modern life and all the false stimulation is very detrimental to getting enough quality sleep and keeping the body repairing and renewing itself. I have been thinking for the past few weeks that I will keep my balance through this busy time and allow the holidays to come and go as seamlessly as possible.
To not push myself or prop up any outdated expectations or notions of what this time of year is about. I am focusing on the meaning of Christmas as the beautiful and inspiring story it is. My intention is to steer my children away from the materialistic message and to focus them on the spiritual message. I will not sacrifice another opportunity because I am tired or distracted. I will remain centered, silent, strong in my grounded place. Even though the Elf has weaseled his way back into my life, I am graciously finding meaning for him as well.

Got more done at the office and looking forward to taking care of people this week. Love having my oils organized!

Earlier today I posted about the concoction I made with coconut, Vertiver, Copaiba, Citrus then I added Dragon's Blood and things got really interesting!

Dragon s Blood comes from a tree in Ecuador and Peru the sap is made into a resin. It has properties of being an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and wound/skin healing.

My personal favorite is to smudge using the resin as it deeply intensifies the cleansing of spaces. Very deep, powerful cleansing! Great for massage studios!

About ten years ago I traveled to the carribbean and returned with this scent in my head. My recent trip to Key West made me launch back into the search for the ingredients and oils. I finally had success and I have been using it with clients! It contains Vertiver, lime, coconut, citrus, Copaiba.

Vetiver is found in Haiti and Ecuador. It's properties are anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, relaxant, improves circulation.
Promotes psychological grounding, calming, stabilizing.

Copaiba is found in Brazil and steam distilled from trees. Healers and curanderos in the Amazon used Copaiba for all types of pain and inflammatory disorders.

I have mixed them with a base of coconut lotion and a few other oils to create a very luxurious feel. The Vetiver and Copaiba are very rich, thick oils which make the feel of the lotion very unique as the oils are made from tree sap. The aroma is earthy and similar to sandalwood/Frankincense/Myrrh and the bright citrus and warm coconut engages your senses on every level. It is so much fun to bring this home to experience in my studio!
