They make alternative sexuality education materials (including zines, illustrations, and publications) and experiences (events, conversations, and workshops).

Come check out the current artist in residence with Paducah Arts Alliance as he gives downtown Paducah a taste of his creativity. Nick will be set up in front of Bricolage around 3:30 for a FREE live performance.

Paducah Arts Alliance is pleased to host Nick Ginsburg, freelance multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound artist and educator living in Los Angeles, California, as the current participant in the Paducah Artist in Residence Program. Ginsburg, who arrived on June 30 will continue his residency through July 9.

A Carbondale, Illinois native, Ginsburg formerly performed with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra and has nearly ten years of professional performance experience in orchestral, chamber, and new music ensembles across the US and Italy. He is the French horn player of DIAPASON, a brass quartet working primarily with experimental tuning systems and site-specific performances.

Ginsburg, a passionate music educator, is currently a faculty member at South Pasadena Arts & Music Academy, teaching private instrumental, music theory, and composition lessons. He has multiple years of experience teaching private and class piano, voice and brass instrument lessons from the K-12-adult level and a combined five years tutoring music theory, aural and transcription skills at undergraduate and MM/MFA levels. Ginsburg has expanded performer-composer collaborations across a range of disciplines and has collaborated and assisted in premiering work of such composers as Sarah Davachi, Stephen Hartke, Jesse Jones, Oliver Kwapis, Michael Pisaro, Jack Herscowitz, Dinah Bianchi, and Carolina Heredia.

How I LOVE the people I get the privilege to meet due to having a small business in an amazing historic downtown!!! This lovely couple spent their morning investigating my shop, talking with me about their journey and let me tell them about the first cross stitch I embarked on a while ago.

I used one of Daddy’s frames from his studio and placed this first piece I completed inside and put it out in the shop. I love that I got to know the people that are taking this piece home. It’s a super simple one, but glad the ornery nature of its words spoke to them!!

We are open today until 6:00 (maybe later), so come on down and grab some 4th of July deals!!!

The artist currently on display at Paducah Freight House has roots in Paducah and an amazing journey as an artist. We are so excited to celebrate Tim Jaeger and his amazing work.
