Premier boutique business law firm in Palm Desert, staffed by former “big law” professionals, is seeking a paralegal who can work successfully with the principals and perform without close supervision focusing on a wide range of complex transactional matters and assisting clients with contract administration. Candidate must (1) be able to accept guidance, be creative and self-reliant, (2) have at least five years of experience working on real estate, contract, or other transactional matters, preferably in California, (3) have excellent writing and organizational skills, and (4) possess excellent computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat DC, and WestlawNext. Experience with Time Matters or similar legal billing programs along with some management experience is a plus. • Have at least five years of experience in a business litigation law firm working on civil litigation matters;
• Have excellent writing and organizational skills
• Have experience preparing civil litigation documents, judicial council forms and making federal and state court filings
• Possess excellent computer skills including Windows 10, Microsoft Word (including tables and formatting), Adobe Acrobat DC, and Westlaw.
Experience with legal billing programs along with some office management experience is a plus.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a progressive, flexible and collegial environment.
