ConnectSafely is seeking students aged 16-21 to join our National Youth Advisory Council. We wholeheartedly believe in the power of youth voices, and we want to hear yours! Come join the conversation around topics like generative AI, digital wellness, toxicity and hate speech and much more.

Council members will enjoy a unique chance to shape ConnectSafely content, including videos, posts and guides, and directly share their insights with the people behind the platforms they use daily. Our free Storytelling Workshop begins in one week from tomorrow! Participants of the workshop will learn how to verbally share their personal experiences with behavioral health, build community by working with others in the workshop to normalize the conversation around behavioral health, and have their stories filmed by a professional film crew to be shared on social media! PERT (Psychiatric Emergency Response Team) extended for 3-years thanks to City of Palo Alto - Public Agency investment. City of Palo Alto Police Department was one of the first pilot sites to receive funding through County of Santa Clara Mental Health Services Act Innovation funds. Great use of unspent Stanford University Medical Center development agreement funds reserved for community health and safety.

Palo Alto backs expanding program for mental health calls Despite staffing challenges, Palo Alto agreed on Sept. 11 to expand and extend the Police Department's recently launched PERT program, which partners police officers with behavioral clinicians on calls involving mental health crises.
