☀️ Enrollment in PasadenaLEARNs 2021 Inspiring Innovation Summer Program has begun!

➡️ Our in-person, tuition-free programs operate Mondays-Fridays from 8am-2pm beginning Tuesday, June 8, 2021 through Thursday, July 15, 2021 and are open to PUSD students in grades K-8.

➡️ There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee due upon acceptance. Cashier’s checks or money orders only made payable to PUSD (no personal checks or cash. Waivers provided for additional children when enrolling multiple children).

‼️ Important updates for Middle School LEARNs families:

🔸 Our distance learning support program will end Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

🔸 We will return to afterschool program beginning Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

➡️ The application for our after school program that will run from April 20, 2021-June 3, 2021 is available on our website (www.pusd.us/learns).

🔸 There is a non-refundable $25 registration fee (money orders or cashier’s checks only).

🔸 PLEASE NOTE: Completing an online application does NOT guarantee a spot in the program.

🔸 Site Cordinators will contact families that have submitted an online application to finalize enrollment or be placed on a waitlist.

🔺 Programs will run Tuesday-Friday from 12:55 - 5:00pm when student cohorts return to in-person learning.

LEARNs After School / Department Home  PasadenaLEARNs is returning to after school programs at all PUSD elementary schools!  Programs will run Tuesday-Friday from 12:55-5:00 pm beginning Thursday, April 1, 2021 through Thursday, June 3, 2021. 

ELEMENTARY FAMILIES: Important program information below.

🔹 PasadenaLEARNs will have two program options beginning Wednesday, February 10, 2021

🔹 Option 1️⃣: In-Person Programs
Students in grades K-8 may return to in-person programs at their schools. In-person programs operate Mondays-Fridays during distance learning school hours. Staff members will continue to provide support and supervision and offer enrichment activities during instructional breaks.

🔹 Option 2️⃣: Virtual Programs
Students in grades K-8 may continue to participate in the virtual LEARNs program by accessing the LEARNs Canvas Page for their schools. The LEARNs Canvas page contains daily independent enrichment activities and access to our virtual classrooms where students can meet with Youth Leaders during scheduled office hours to get homework help and participate in fun group activities.

🔹 Both program options are currently available for all students currently enrolled in LEARNs.

🔹 Parents who are interested in enrolling their children in either program option may access the online application on our website: www.pusd.us/learns and click on the application for their child's school.

During these unprecedented times, PasadenaLEARNs is committed to working alongside PUSD to serve our students and families.

We are currently working to develop a program that meets the needs of our most vulnerable students to ensure their continued academic growth and success while maintaining the safety of students and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program is tentatively scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

2020-21 LEARNS Program Applications Now Available!

Pre-enrollment applications for LEARNs for the 2020-2021 school year are currently available on your school's website. Once the completed application has been received, you will be contacted by the LEARNs Site Coordinator regarding your child's program enrollment status and next steps to complete the enrollment process.

☀️ 2020 Summer Exploration Program: In an effort to keep PUSD students and families safe during the COVID 19 pandemic, PasadenaLEARNs will not offer a face-to-face summer program.

Beginning Monday, June 1, 2020 through Thursday, July 2, 2020, students can access daily reading activities, math games, enrichment activities with easy-to-follow instructions using items found around the house, interactive fitness challenges, and computer coding games on our website at www.pusd.us/learns

In addition, students in grades 2-5 enrolled in LEARNs during the 2019-20 school year will continue to have access to Imagine Learning Literacy and Imagine Math online curriculum through July 2020. Individualized learning plans allow students to continue to learn at their own pace during summer.
