Each gathering will offer an opportunity for exploring diverse perspectives, sharing discoveries, and the exchange of ideas which make for a meaningful reading experience.

A quarterly selection of books will inspire thoughtful discussions and insights. Our first book club gathering on July 14 will be a discussion on The Yellow House by Sarah Broom, a book that focuses on self discovery, personal growth and strong ties to the built environment.

Greene & Greene Drop-in Talk: ART GLASS
Saturday, May 11, 2024 - Informal talks will take place at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

Greene and Greene's art glass designs in windows, doors, and light fixtures contributed an element of beauty and fascination to their architectural works. Join Gamble House docents for an exploration of how these pieces expanded the art of stained glass and furthered the Greenes' artistic goals.

The Gamble House is excited to take part once again in MUSEUMS OF THE ARROYO DAY on Sunday, May 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., along with 4 other museums located along the Arroyo Seco. 2024 marks 34 years of free access to exhibitions and program in this collaborative effort to increase engagement and make art and culture accessible to all.

The first floor of the Gamble House will be open for self-guided walk-through with docents on hand to share their knowledge of the house. We’ll have lots of activities for kids and adults so bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn, play lawn games, and try your hand at creating art at our crafts table. Members of the Pasadena Society of Artists will be creating art and engaging with guests so come join the fun. Kona Ice will be serving up delicious treats throughout the day with 20% of proceeds being donated to the Gamble House.

The first session in this Saturday, April 27th at 9am. 🐐 🐐 Enjoy communing with friendly, gentle goats while engaging in a fun, light-hearted yoga session taught by certified instructor Tina Lenert on the rear lawn of The Gamble House. Connect with your “inner kid” while moving through yoga postures suitable for all levels; from first timers who ”just came for the goats” to experienced yogis looking to challenge their practice.
