Meet Leo! Leo is a 3 year old, 14 pound miniature poodle mix. He has an adorable nubby tail that wags uncontrollably with happiness when meeting new people. We would never have predicted his big personality and contagious smile when he was first surrendered to us because he was so timid and shy. Leo can get overwhelmed by large, high energy dogs but is overall very dog friendly and enjoys playing with smaller dogs closer to his size. Leo is extremely affectionate and absolutely loves food. After some outdoor playtime, he rushes to his kennel for a treat or mealtime. His signature move is putting his front legs on your lap and accepting head rubs until the end of time. We know Leo is going to make someone feel very happy and loved!

Samba will have your heart dancing!! 😍💃

Samba is a 1.5-year-old American bulldog mix. He is a huge goofball who will have you laughing all the time. He doesn’t fully understand his size and instead thinks he is a lap dog. Samba is friendly with everyone: dogs, people, you name it! He has lots of energy and will play and run with anyone willing. Stranger who? Though the most loving boy, he does need someone who will teach him manners like not to jump out of excitement or pull on leash.

When we took Samba in, he was underweight and extremely dirty. His beautiful cream coat is still quite stained despite several baths. Did we mention he absolutely loves food? His favorite time of day is taking his post-neuter meds because it means he gets to lick a spoonful of cream cheese. There isn’t a day that goes by that Samba isn’t just happy to be here. He will be a loyal companion to a lucky someone willing to put in some training for this derpy boy.

This fluffy ball of joy is ready to chase away your rainy days! 🌧️

We have had 3-year-old Cloudy in our rescue for a while now, and have been trying to resolve his vision issues. Through diagnostic testing, we learned that he has a condition called anterior uveitis, which is likely immune related. We were hopeful that this could be reversed as it often can be when caught early enough, but unfortunately Cloudy’s condition occurred long before we had him and became permanent. He is otherwise healthy and not in pain.

Cloudy is not completely blind and we are told he can see outlines. He doesn’t bump into things and it doesn’t seem to slow him down. The only accommodation he needs is a quick pat to let him know before you pick him up so you don’t accidentally startle him.

He has figured out exactly where his kennel is at our collective and will go immediately to it after playtime and wait for you to open the door.

He is quiet and sleeps most of the day, but gets super excited when our volunteers come to let him out for playtime in the morning. He loves to play with all the other dogs here and is such a good sport.

An ideal home for Cloudy would be one that is quiet and laid back. He would love to have playtime with other dogs and go on casual neighborhood strolls where he can learn the route.

Who needs a brunch date when you can have a bagel buddy? Toasty and adorable, these pups are ready to spread joy! We are told they are schnauzer and poodle mixes - they were surrendered to us as an accidental litter (mom is being spayed and dad has since been neutered). They will greet you with a wagging tail but are still working on confidence building in new surroundings. They are also doing great with puppy pad training at our collective!

Victory is the last girl in the Pup-lympic litter standing, and she’s ready to go for gold and secure her spot in her forever home! She is a short legged 5 lb puppy, and we are estimating she will be 20 lbs at the most when she’s all grown up. Honey is 10-12 week old sweetheart whose mixed breed is a mystery. Guesses have included Weimaraner, Doberman, and Shar Pei. One thing we know for sure though is that she is 100 percent unique and drop dead gorgeous! I mean, look at these photos?! Honey is extremely confident and food motivated. She is eager to learn and please! Honey loves to play with all the dogs at our space, no matter their size. She currently weighs 20 pounds and we believe she could be 60-70 pounds full grown. Congratulations to all our AKC Puppy Star students for completing their course today!! These pups all learned basic skills and are patio-ready for the rest of summer. Special thanks to our amazing trainer, Lilian Degroof (and her doggy assistant ) for donating her time and skills to teach this session. Annabella aka Annie is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy. She is always ready for cuddles on the couch! When she’s not cuddling with you, she’s playing with toys and her dog/human playmates. House training has been going great! With consistent bathrooms breaks, she is a pro! Annie is eager to please and currently learning walking on leash, crate training, recall, and sit. Half Baked is your next pint-sized best friend!🍦

Half Baked is around 3 months old and the last remaining puppy from the litter (and also named after the most delicious flavor, if we do say so ourselves!). He is patiently waiting for the day that he can hop into his future bestie’s lap to sleep for endless hours on end. Since he’s been with us, he’s been well socialized with kids and other dogs. He is smart and eager to please. We know he will be the perfect topping to any family!

It’s almost fall, which is the perfect time of year to fall in love with this 3-year-old, 15-pound, fast, fun and fabulous terrier mix.

She came to the rescue as a mom of six puppies, she and her litter were named after 90’s toys, so this girl is Tamagotchi, you remember that super weird egg-shaped digital pet game, right? Anywhooo, we call her “Tommi”. Tommi was scared and a total mama bear with her puppies - not letting any of us close at first, but after a few days, she warmed right up, she may still take a minute before you’re BFF’s.

Tommi loves to play with dogs of any size, from a 70 lb. Rhodesian to a terrier her own size, she’s all in. She is shockingly fast when she runs, which baffles us since she has such little legs. She has a great smile, (which you can see we managed to capture in one of her pictures) and when we have a second to sit down, she quickly saddles up by our side. She will happily help hold down the couch to binge watch anything you have in store. One of our favorite things about her, is her ‘vocal fry’, it’s pretty hilarious when she barks. We need a special foster for a special dog! Max is not only a bigger dog, but he is also deaf, which requires a foster with a little extra patience. We rescued him and his sister Ruby as a bonded pair the day they were scheduled for euthanasia at the shelter. They’ve been in foster together for about a month now and we are starting to think that they would do better separated. Getting to know them individually in separate foster homes will allow us to figure out what is truly best for them. If you can open your home to Max, even temporarily, please DM us!

Red Rover, Red Rover, come on over and adopt Grover! At 6 months old, Grover loves playing with toys, cuddling on the couch, belly rubs, and chewing on bones. He is super smart and learned how to use a dog door in 2 days to go to the bathroom and already knows sit and come. Grover is also working on his leash walking and crate training. Cuddle-It, Pet-It, Bop-It! 💥

Bop-It is the last remaining member from the 90’s litter, and we don’t understand how this absolute cutie is still waiting to find his forever home!

Bop-It fits his name perfectly as he is a spunky little pup ready for playtime and always down to party. He’s been well-socialized with people and with dogs since he came through our doors, so he would be a great as a solo dog or for a home looking for the perfect companion for their pet! Bop-It is roughly 10 weeks old and is eager to steal your heart! 💕

Cosita aka Coco is the same size as she is age at just four pounds and four years old. Like most chihuahuas, what she lacks in size she makes up in personality. She is teeny tiny, but mighty and not afraid to speak up if she needs to. If you allow her, Coco will be by your side 24/7. She will hang in her bed, but she is happiest on her chosen person’s lap. You’ll love Luna to the moon and back! 🌙 Like her namesake, Luna is a little shy at first but once she comes out from hiding in the shadows, she’s all you’ll be able to look at!

She is 2 years old, 9 lbs and we’re guessing a Spaniel Pomeranian mix. Luna would love nothing more than to sit on your lap and receive lots of love and affection - that is, after some playtime, of course! She is playful, shy and sweet, but most importantly, ready to find her forever home!

“I declare open the Games of Pasadena, celebrating the 1st Olympiad of the dog rescue era.”

Late the other night our rescuer received a call asking if we could take a litter of 8 puppies. The next day, 11 puppies arrived and it’s clear that they are from multiple litters. Our vet estimates them all to be 10-12 weeks old. They were infested with fleas on arrival and dried f***s were caked on their fur. Our team of volunteers spent hours bathing and flea treating everyone. It’s safe to say they are now feeling the best they ever have!

With a now clean bill of health, they received their first round of vaccines, microchips, dewormer, and flea/tick prevention, and they are now ready for the pup-lympics.

This Olympic village is more crowded than we anticipated, but regardless we are happy to have them. They are occupying an entire room of our collective, ranging from 3lbs to 13lbs. There is truly a puplympian for everyone on this team!

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck chuck could chuck wood?

Despite the tongue-twister intro, our 1.5-year-old bully-mix Chuck is a simple guy. This adorable, compact creature is the goofy epitome of a lap-dog (he doesn’t realize he weighs 60lbs and will happily invite himself on the couch for snuggles). Chuck was left behind in a vacant house by his old owners. Thankfully, a neighbor noticed him and took him in temporarily.

Chuck has been doing great in foster. He has gotten along fabulously with the small and medium dogs he has been around so far. He is neutral and well-mannered. His face always has a smiley expression that gives him so much charm. Apply on our website!
