Pat started this company with me and Mike Romano in 1993 with the first ever cycling trip in Vietnam since the fall of Saigon in 1975. Maybe we were the first ever. And despite unbelievably rapid growth, Vietnam remains my favorite destination in the world. Mexico is a close second for riding. Japan is a cultural juggernaut. Thailand is easy days and wild nights. But Vietnam has it all.

Trip highlights include all the known things. Ho Chi Minh’s Mosoleum, Hue Citadel, UNESCO Heritage Site Hoi An, the coastal paradise of Nha Trang, etc. But what makes this trip special are the touches added from over 30 years of biking and walking the hidden backroads of Vietnam. Think the freshest street beers in Hanoi, coffee shops galore in Hoi An, salty crab on the Pearl River in Hue, and wild nightlife in Saigon. That’s just the beginning.

This trip is for experienced riders only. Riders who can handle riding in an organized group that rides two-by-two throughout the trip. It’s safer that way and much, much faster so we can enjoy nights out exploring the most famous and obscure areas of Vietnam.

The trip is fully supported by a professional staff that can sweep you up at your convenience, hand out food and drinks, and make sure we don’t lose our way on the winding and complex system of villages and cities, and roads and highways as we make our way south from Hanoi to Saigon.
