So one my properties sprung a leak from last weeks rain and by a miracle my amazing roofer, Adrian Marquez, was able to get the property this past Saturday to do the repair. After last nights downpour there is no doubt in my mind that what was a small leak would have turned into a major disaster!!! Thanx so much Adrian, you are my Super Man!!’

Yesterday I had a choice: Watch the games or show houses and potentially Make Money!

Guess what I chose to do?!

If you are renting it’s best to obtain a rental policy that includes a substantial liability portion ($100k or more) and names the dog breed, as well as the homeowner. Keep in mind Pitbulls, Rottweilers and Dobermans are often not covered by the Landlords insurance policy. So be upfront with your Landlord if you have this type of pet.

Landlords: You may want to avoid renting to tenants with “dangerous breeds” all together. May Not be worth the liability! And YOU stand to loose the most, if a bite occurs!!

This past weekend, Michael attended the NAHREP at L’attitude Conference in San Diego! NAHREP stands for “National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. It was started in 1999 to advance sustainable Hispanic homeownership! The organization has now expanded their mission to include economic empowerment!

This year the key note speaker was none other than….wait for it….President Barack Obama! He was brilliant as usual, of course! Past President of NAHREP and current Hispanic Wealth Project Chairman, Jerry Ascensio, had the distinct pleasure of introducing President Obama and he also took the time to ever so graciously welcome Mike back from his/our hiatus!! He is a class act to be sure!

Michael and I have maintained our membership in this and many other real estate related trade organizations, NAREB, AREAA, etc. but have been pretty in-active over the last few years. However this year we decided to change that beginning with this conference!
