This non-partisan, interfaith gathering with music, conversation, and prayer will take place in front of First United Methodist Church on Colorado Blvd.

This Sunday we will honor the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead with an altar of loved ones who are deceased. We will also have our annual Halloween Festival with a costume contest, games and lunch following worship. Join us! Costumes welcome in worship.

We partner with the Pasadena non profit Friends in Deed to offer groceries to over 600 individuals and families each week at their site at 444 E. Washington Blvd. Our church helps to stock shelves the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 2:00-3:30. Contact Lu at [email protected] to sign up to help out.

FCC Pasadena offers a total of $100,000 Outreach Grants each year (up to $25,000 each) to area organizations. Areas of priority for grants are: benefiting children and youth, historically and currently underserved and marginalized communities, hunger and homelessness, peace and justice, care for the environment, and advancing economic justice. One of our most popular monthly offerings is SoulCollage®. It is a creative practice derived from psychotherapy – a way to express one’s inner, spiritual life without having to use words. In person or on zoom, all are welcome.
First Congregational Church of Pasadena offers Outreach Grants up to $25,000 for projects aligned with the congregation’s mission, vision, and core values that benefit children and youth, underserved in access to resources to meet needs, in Pasadena and/or immediately adjoining communities.
Applications for grants must be received on or before the deadline date of September 1, 2024 at 5:00 pm.

Our theme for this Summer is “Healing.” So many people we know need it. The world certainly needs it. We began last Sunday with a text about healing our daughters – and will continue into August with other biblical texts about healing that might lead us to new ways to wholeness.
June 30 We will focus for several weeks on our need to heal our families and families of the world from the trauma of these modern days.
We will gather as a congregation on June 23rd to hold our Spring Business Meeting. We will focus on ministries we expect to engage in for the coming year.
Father's Day is a day to lift up all who have "fathered" us. We will have a table of remembrance - so bring a photo of your beloved father figures on Sunday! Join us for worship this Sunday, June 16th.
June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Our church has been Open and Affirming (ONA) since 1993. We celebrate God's "Radical Inclusion" of all who live and breathe.
Our graduates will be celebrated in worship on June 2nd - followed by a fabulous Pizza Party in the Cloister. Please join us at 11:30am.
