It means we pay fair wages, provide clean working environments, reduce the amount of waste that’s produced, and establish long term relationships with local vendors to support our local economy.

Why is this important?

Well, for a number of reasons. It not only ensures a sustainable and ethical business model, but it also explains our price points (which is probably the most important factor for you as a consumer). Fair wages means that our employees get paid minimum wage—a whopping $16.78/hr as of today—or higher! And this also means our insurance, utilities, rent, raw materials, local vendor services, and other expenses are higher as a result of our desire to maintain a responsible business model.

So when you’re supporting us, you’re helping to provide a better way of life for all those who help us along the way to build this brand—from our employees to our vendors and everyone in between.

As we approach opening day for our brick & mortar, I wanted to take a moment to show you the evolution of our branding!

There’s a lot of thought behind every detail of a garment—even the trims. Every logo, artwork, and font is designed and handpicked by yours truly. Materials and placement are scrutinized and mulled over until it evokes the exact vibes I’m aiming for.

Maybe you’re thinking all the trims look the same (valid), but when put on the same garment, these small details change the feel of the garment drastically. The perfect trim enhances the experience of seeing, receiving, and wearing the garment.

These minute details come together to become the overall branding message that’s sent into the world. So even if it takes 4 redesigns and samples to satisfy the perfectionist in me, I’ll do what it takes to get it exactly the way I want if that means I can vouch for the quality and experience at the end of the day.

In all honesty, this whole brand sort of became a reflection of myself and the growth I’ve experienced as a small business owner—the designs, marketing, copy, photos, styles, and everything in between evolving with the growth. It’s been a strangely vulnerable experience to put my work on display in this manner.

Anyways, hope you can take a moment to appreciate the small details on our garments from time to time. That one detail could have been the make or break for its debut into the world.
