Bourbon barrel cake for the birthday boy !

Old fashioned flavored cake with a bourbon pastry cream and Italian meringue buttercream. My first two tier cake! The barrel is made of modeling chocolate and fondant.

Kesar pista biscotti!

First shot at an Indian fusion baked good... this is a perfectly crisp biscotti flavored with saffron (kesar) and studded with toasted pistachios. It tastes just like Mehul Bharucha and Kalpana Bharucha’s famous kesar pista ice cream, but in biscotti form. Recipe inspired by my family’s biscotti queen, Bharti Gandhi.

Perfect on its own, or for dipping into a steaming hot mug of chai!
