I have been enjoying sourdough bread for many years. During the pandemic, much like many others, I began baking it on my own. Thousands upon thousands of years bread with made with fermented wheat, salt, and water. In the United States industrialized, commercial bread is no longer created with sourdough. Hence, so many people have digestive issues when it comes to wheat. Several of my health coaching clients who had gluten sensitivity found that they tolerate sourdough really well and the fermented wheat is great for your gut! I use fermented wheat in everything - Sourdough pizza crust, sourdough pancakes, and sourdough pastry. Yes, you can tell from the photo that I’m still a novice bread maker but the sourdough still works it’s charms!
