From the desk of Dr. Phuong Thach:
The Omicron variant of SARS-COV-2 is an incredibly contagious variant. While the transmissibility rate (R0) of the Alpha variant was R0 = 2.5, the R0 for Omicron is 8.0. The Omicron variant virus replicates 70x faster than the Delta variant. So far, it appears that this particular variant has produced the least severe symptoms compared to the previous variants. Nevertheless, it should not be taken lightly because for many people are still experiencing enough severe symptoms to need hospitalization. The most remarkable observation we have witnessed from this variant is its breakthrough infections that are occurring among both the vaccinated and those previously infected with COVID-19. In other words, you can still catch this variant even though you are vaccinated or have been previously infected by a previous variant. The good news is that if you are infected by Omicron, the symptoms will most likely be mild and you have a high probability of having immunity to both the Omicron and Delta variants. Regardless, I urge you to take precautions and do everything you can to build your immunity and body’s natural defense.

If you have not worked with me to a build a personalized immune boosting protocol, I highly urge you to do so.
Or if you know of someone who needs help overcoming COVID, please have them contact me.

It is almost unimaginable that any of us were able to escape this past year and half unscathed. The world as we once knew will never be the same. These noticeable shifts in our society have severely impacted our mental, emotional and spiritual health. To find peace during these time of turmoil and unrest, we must turn to our Creator to find peace and comfort.
In this post, I share with you some of my favorite Bible verses that I refer to almost daily to help me get through these tough times. These verses not only provide motivation, inspiration, comfort, peace, and strength, they also give me understanding to what is happening in our world and what to do. I pray that God's Word will bless you.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

There is a disease out there that is killing people, not because it isn’t treatable, but because people are playing politics with human lives and preventing the sick from gaining access to early, proper therapeutics. Therefore, before you trust the advice from the politicians, the public health official, the news reporter, a doctor, any health professional, some person who works in a hospital, a pastor/priest, or any person who has no medical education or training whatsoever, ask them this question:
“How many SARSC0V2 patients have you actively overseen and managed their care as well as successfully treated?”

To answer the question I have posed: As of today, I have seen almost 100 patients in regards to the disease, ages ranging from 22-86 years with varying degrees of comorbidity ranging from no comorbidity to more life-threatening comorbidities (such as congestive heart failure), with a 100% recovery rate before the need of hospitalization (with 0 having to be hospitalized).

It is important you remember this post, your life or the life of someone you love may depend on it.

May you keep God close, especially during this difficult and troubling time.

This past year, I have helped a plethora of patients of all ages prevent, overcome, and recover fully from COVID. As the medical director of my practice, I made the decision to provide a variety of services and therapies, including offering the COVID vaccine to all adults who desire to get vaccinated. Therefore, my medical understanding and experience with COVID patients and the vaccines are extensive.

Today, the governor of Washington state, Jay Inslee, announced a vaccine mandate for all state employees, private health care and long term care workers (1). This requirement is heavy-handed and, in my opinion, dangerous from a medical as well as a public policy perspective.

A reminder to all that these vaccines are still in experimental stages and only approved for emergency authorization (though this may change soon). Anyone who says that these vaccines are completely safe is being irresponsible because side effects do occur, especially for those who have a propensity towards certain diseases, and we do not know for certain what the long term effects are. In this post, I have included the FDA's working list of possible adverse event outcomes from the vaccine (2).

In the public health sector, personal liberties are sometimes sacrificed for the "greater good", and we have seen that exercised in the past (though, does it make it constitutionally sound?). However, in an interview by CNN with CDC Director, Rochelle Walensky - she states that "these vaccines no longer prevent transmission of COVID"(3). Therefore, Washington state and other state governments are forcing (not asking) individuals to give up our God-given personal liberties to take an experimental vaccine with a poor promise of eradication of this disease or face termination of their jobs and livelihood.

Friends, in the past year, we have been lied to and played by mercilessly by authoritarian forces. We have lost lives because people were playing politics and rewriting "science". We are at a precipice of losing our God-given rights which are protected by the US Constitution, and for what? A therapy that makes no promises with their makers having zero liability when COVID is treatable? The definition of coercion is "using force to persuade people to do things that they are unwilling to do". Where does one draw the line? When should one take a stand? If not now, then when?

It is difficult to imagine that any of us were able to escape this past year unscathed. While many of us may not have been directly affected physically by COVID19, riots or political unrest, the world as we knew it has changed significantly, and in fact, may never be like it once was ever again. These noticeable shifts in our society have severely impacted our mental, emotional, and spiritual health, whether we'd like admit it or not. In addition to dealing with turmoil on a macro-scale, many of us also face turmoil and upheavals in our personal lives that continuously pound our psyche.
Today, I would like to share with you a message, and that message is: "It is okay to grieve". In our society, we are often taught to act "tough", "hide weaknesses", and "present ourselves as if everything is okay". Dear brothers and sisters, there is a difference between "acting" versus "being". Today, and moving forward, I urge you to "be" instead of "act and suppress", for acting and suppressing cause more problems than one can enumerate. If you are hurting, it would be courageous if you were to allow yourself to grieve - to recognize the feelings of sadness, hurt, anger, pain, or whatever it may be and sit with the discomfort for a little while. Cry if you need to; it's okay to cry, especially for you men, it's okay to cry. Dig deep and be vulnerable enough to be able to share your pain with others and with God. We were not created to be alone nor grieve alone. In Psalm 34:18, "God tells us He is near when we are broken-hearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit". "Cast your burden onto Him and He shall sustain you" ~Psalm 55:22.

Good morning my Brothers and Sisters!

Are you feeling anxious and depressed? One of my areas of expertise is in mental health, and I have tremendous success in helping individuals overcome anxious and depressed moods because I treat people in a holistic manner.

Here is a list of things that I highly recommend that you ask your practitioner to do/help evaluate for to help you if they aren't doing so already, in addition to counseling, which I do in my practice that I have found to be highly helpful in getting people to overcome anxiety and depression (this is just snapshot of what I do):

1) Analysis of your genomic profile - there are things called "single nucleotide polymorphisms" that not only tell us if a person has predispositions to anxiety/depression, addictions, etc but analysis of the profile can tell us if the person has difficulty producing vitamins, hormones, neurotransmitters, or metabolizing certain drugs. It also tells us the best drugs and supplements for that individual to absorb to help mitigate their symptoms.

2) Analysis of food allergies - Food allergies can cause a lot of inflammation not only in the body but also in the mind and can cause symptoms like anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thought (one of the reasons is that some foods cross the bloodbrain barrier). Identifying certain foods and taking them out can allow the body and brain to heal from the inflammation and

3) Analysis of current neurotransmitters levels - I order a test for my clients where I see exactly how high or low their neurotransmitters are. This is very helpful because we can supplement to provide immediate relief.

4) Using natural medicine such as botanical/herbal medicine - I believe there is a place for pharmaceuticals but for the majority of my cases, I have been successful using natural medicine to help people and I have found that natural medicine has the ability to do things anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medicine cannot.

5) Most importantly: Is your doctor praying for you and with you? - Power of Prayer is extremely important! I pray with my patients in the office and I pray for them daily out of the office. God is the Great Physician and He is only using me to help His people. I can tell you that when I first started practicing, I was shy to pray with some of my patients, and with the patients whom I was praying with in-office got better quicker than the patients I was too shy to pray for. So now I ask to pray with all of my patients and pray with them when they allow me to.

Beloved, I pray that you find this list to be helpful and that this can provide a unique perspective to further help you on your journey of healing.

Remember, we serve an almighty God and that "with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. (Mark 10:27)".

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" (Phillipians 4:13)

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Phillippians 4:6-7)

"Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4)

And lastly, I just want to tell you that you are loved by the most powerful being in the universe, and that is our God.

God bless you, my Brothers and Sisters!

Follow me and join me in my first podcast that will launch next week as I explore the topic of "Personality Disorders" and how they destroy relationships. In addition to exploring the topic as a whole, I am inviting my colleague, Triboulet Coaching, LLC, onto the show so we can expound on the topic of "Covert Narcissism".

Follow my podcast here (for now): https://godmedicine.podbean.com
Stay tuned: I will be connected with Apple Podcast, Microsoft Podcast, Spotify Podcast, and more very soon!

Description of the Podcast channel:
"It is no secret that the Enemy is destroying the nuclear family unit, but his method is insidious and he begins wreaking havoc during a person's formative years. The traumas that one experiences in childhood are carried forward to adulthood and then into their relationships, and the cycle continues into subsequent generations. It is no wonder that establishing and sustaining a healthy, romantic relationship is incredibly difficult nowadays. With that being said, we do serve a gracious God and He has provided us the blueprint on how to have a loving healthy relationship.

Join Dr. Phuong Thach, a devout Christian and a top board-certified Naturopathic/Functional physician whose expertise is in behavioral health, as she dissects real-life case studies of modern-day relationships and analyzes them through the lens of medicine and scripture. She will explore complex topics, such as how genetics, personality disorders, and attachment styles impact relationships, as well as how to overcome obstacles in relationships by utilizing God's Word and building mental, physical, and spiritual health and resiliency."

Today, my parents asked me to look at my dad's labs from his annual check-up. His P*P overlooked some positive results on his labs, and told him everything was fine. I'm praying everything is fine, but some of his positives need to be further investigated, considering he is elderly. Sadly, this is what happens for most people when they only have 10 minutes to spend with their doctors, and their doctors needing to see 20+ patients a day. Things get over looked or swept under the rug...and everything is fine until one day, suddenly, it is not. My prayer for the clinic I feel as though God called to me open is to be the antithesis of the coldness of the conventional medical system. I strive to create a relationship with all of my patients, get to know them beyond 10 minutes per visit. At my clinic, I spend countless hours with my patients to really know their story and what led them to where they are today. I meticulously look over every single lab result and thoroughly research every possible treatments before having to result to the most invasive ones. Catching things and patterns early can prevent fatal results in the long run. It is sad to realize that there are moms and dads out there whose lab results are being overlooked or the physician just does not have enough time or understanding to dig deeper.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧
For those who may not know what I do, I am a Naturopathic/Functional Medicine physician, and I work on highly challenging cases requiring me to spend hours with my patients. Many patients who come to see me have already seen an exhaustive list of doctors who have not been able to help them.

What sets me apart from other practitioners is that while successfully helping my patients find relief from their chronic ailments, I also dig deep and truly discover the root causes of their illnesses, by spending hours researching a patient's case, utilizing targeted treatments and specialized testing, including investigating their genomic makeup and exposures to environmental contaminations. Since I do not take insurance, I can spend hours with my patients, delving deep into their stories from in utero to the present day.

When you spend that much time with a person with them feeling safe and hopeful to reveal tremendous details of their life with you, you cannot help but bear their pain and suffering, if just for a few hours. Most of the time, I can fully separate myself from the case, but on rare occasions, I will encounter a case where I experience a temporary emotional paralysis because the information given to me is so heavy. And to clarify, the preponderance of the case lies within my human inability to grasp the mystery of why bad things happen to good people, not so much in the details themselves. (𝐴𝑛 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑑 ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑤𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑔𝑒-𝑜𝑙𝑑 𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒.)

I have recently experienced such a case, and I am not ashamed to say this, but after I gathered everything I needed to create my treatment plan for this highly complex case, I sat on my office floor and cried and prayed for an hour. In instances like these, the experience can be very lonely because I do not and cannot discuss the details of cases with other people. However, in situations like these, I am incredibly grateful that I have a Lord and Savior whom I can unload my burdens on because He promises always to carry my burdens and that of everyone else's who believes in Him.

In times of incomprehensibility, uncertainty, illness, or trouble, many of us can easily slip into a dark place, whether willingly or unwillingly, where we eventually find ourselves searching for light and grasping for a helping hand. Your body is constantly exposed to free radicals that is causing oxidative stress, a process that can trigger cell damage, to your body. Oxidative stress is thought to play a role in a variety of diseases including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and eye diseases such as cataracts and age-related macular degeneration. Sources of free radical include variety of environmental sources, such as cigarette smoke, air pollution, and sunlight.
Antioxidant molecules have been shown to counteract oxidative stress. Vegetables and fruits are rich sources of antioxidants and more beneficial in combating oxidative stress than antioxidant supplements.

Here are the top 10 foods that are extremely high in antioxidants:
Goji berries
Wild blueberries
Dark chocolate
Pecans
Artichoke (boiled)
Elderberries
Kidney beans
Cranberries
Blackberries
Cilantro

The immune system plays no role in deaths related to bear attacks or drowning in the Titanic (or in any other physical accident scenarios people are trying to come up with in attempt to create clever analogies to counter-explain the CDC's statement implying that 94% of people who died from COVID19 had comorbidities - see my post from 8/31/2020). Viruses, on the other hand, do impact the immune system and directly attack it. Therefore, if a person has a weakened immune system caused by a chronic condition or negligence of their health, a virus or another pathogen will impact this person differently and more severely than it would a relatively healthy person who does not have a chronic condition and takes diligent care of their health.

Photos from Dr. Phuong Thach's post 08/31/2020

According to the CDC, “for 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned”. Therefore, individuals in the rest of the 94% of COVID deaths had comorbidities (the presence of one or more additional conditions). In other words, for the 94% of cases that were deemed “COVID deaths”, we cannot 100% ascertain if those individuals died from COVID or from their other conditions or from the combination of COVID and their comorbidity. And yes, motor vehicle accidents are also listed as a comorbidity (I highlighted this point by adding a blue arrow to the second picture of the table below).

Did you know that through the pressures from the FDA and/or the need to pander for political gains, many licensing boards and medical commissions have threatened doctors with the possibility of felony charges and/or revocation of their licenses if they prescribe Hydroxychloroquine to their patients who may have COVID and do not have an autoimmune disease or malaria?

Doctors, like myself, are not playing politics here! Lives are at stake! While we are still understanding the exact mechanism of how hydroxychloroquine helps COVID patients, international data has demonstrated that it has a 90% chance of helping a COVID positive patient fully recover and should be a prescribable option if appropriate for a patient. (source: https://aapsonline.org/hcq-90-percent-chance/ ).

If you don't believe me, then listen to these other physicians in the video. In the video, one of the doctors who did her schooling in West Africa treated 350 patients COVID patients w/ hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Zithromax and had a 100% success rate. She literally pleads to the audience: "In America, people don't have to die!"

Don't allow politicians, public health "experts" who don't actually see patients or any other fearmongers tie my hands or any other doctors' hands behind our backs for their own political agenda. We are literally talking about life and death. I am on the team of Life and I hope you are too.
