PUPPY CLASS ($70, non-refundable fee)
This class is designed to expose your puppy to many new and different situations. Socialization plays an important role in having a well-mannered adult dog, that accepts new experiences without fear. Since the puppies are so young, the training is informal and executed with gentleness. Lessons will include having your puppy walk nicely on a lead, come when called, sit, lay down, stand, and stay in that position for a short period. This is a family-type class and everyone is invited to come and watch. This is a 1-hour class lasting six weeks.

Puppy Graduation!!! We love Puppy Graduation, so many fun activities and see how much the puppies have grown.

If you are enrolled in Puppy Class this is a reminder that Graduation is this Friday, August 16th, 6 -7 pm. Please bring family and friends to enjoy this night with you.

Saturday Beginners Class starts this Saturday, June 1st from 9 am to 10 am and there are still several openings.

If you would like to register please come 20 to 30 minutes early and we can do that. The application is on our website and the fee is $100 cash or check only.

As we slowly close in on summer and the temperatures rise remember to keep your dog hydrated and cool.

Open Windows Don’t Keep Dogs Safe

It doesn’t have to be super hot outside for your car to heat up. The inside of a vehicle parked in 70-degree Fahrenheit weather can reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit in just 20 minutes. On very hot days, temperatures inside parked cars can climb to 140 degrees Fahrenheit in less than one hour.

According to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), studies have shown that cracking a window changes these figures very little. A parked car with the windows cracked heats up at almost the exact same rate as a car with the windows rolled up, putting pets in serious danger. Dogs in Hot Cars: Can I Leave My Dog in the Car If I Crack a Window? Most dog owners know that you can’t leave a pet in a hot car. Temperatures can rise to dangerous levels. But what if you open a window a little bit?
