Barrack’s Hospitality Group is delighted to announce that we have partnered with Olive & Oak Weddings and Events Venue, previously Kickapoo Winery located at 6417 N Smith Rd , Edwards, IL to become a preferred caterer at this upcoming venue.

The venue has fantastic aspirations and a desire to offer the wedding and corporate events market something unique yet affordable and we are excited to play a major part in this.

Our partnership over the years with Michelle & Jerry Heeren (the owners of the upscale wedding venue Venue Chisca located in the new warehouse district in Peoria) and the announcement of their new venue has created much enthusiasm amongst the Barrack’s staff and Event Coordinators. We look forward to building a stronger relationship with the venue.

Barrack’s is thrilled to introduce an exciting range of innovative food concepts and menus for all types of budgets in a causal, trendy location offering indoor and outdoor events.

Olive & Oak Weddings & Events is set to open in October 2024.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Claudette, donations may be sent to Peoria Youth for Christ or Jesus Film Project in Orlando, FL.

Claudette Barrack, 86, of Peoria, IL, answered God's call and passed into eternal life at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Los Alamitos Medical Center in Los Alamitos, California.

Claudette was born on April 27, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio, to William and Eveline Haddad. She attended The University of Toledo and received a degree in education. After teaching school for 5 years, Claudette married Richard Barrack on June 16, 1963. They celebrated 60 years of marriage last year.

Claudette's passion was spreading the word of God. In the 1970s, she lead a Good News Club of 125 children and 50 mothers. She also taught Vacation Bible School and lead several small group Bible studies for several years. Claudette also enjoyed playing card games, especially bridge, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Claudette's smile and laugh could light up a room. She was loved and cherished by everyone that knew her. Over the years, she has brought many people to know Jesus, enriching their lives forever.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Barrack; one son, James (Lana) Barrack; one daughter, Robin (Raymond) Moir; three grandchildren, Ricky (Brittany) Barrack, Jessica (Travis) Brooks and Marisa Moir; three great-grandchildren, Jamie, Asher and Kira Barrack; one sister, Bernice Lakis; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Claudette was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Raymond Haddad; and one sister, Linda Burnett.
