Friendly reminder that if you have an ultrasound or a lab prior to your appointment, please be here a few minutes before your earliest appointment time. You may get reminders for your appointments but please pay attention to the times. We will have to reschedule if you are late. Thank you for your understanding.

Just a friendly note about your automatic text message reminders...

If you are scheduled for a "dual-appointment", such as an ultrasound and a follow-up with a provider, you will get a text message reminder for each appointment slot.

So, please read them each separately...they are not repeat messages. Then come to the appointment that has the earlier appointment time...if you miss that first appointment, it will likely need to be recheduled.

And as usual, please arrive 15 minutes prior to the stated apppoiontment time.

Caitlin has been such a bright and beautiful addition to our team. She is moving on to the next step in her journey which means she is leaving us. Friday was bittersweet as we said goodbye to our office manager Bill. He’s been an incredible part of our team but his dream job became available to him as a full time coach at Keene State. Another friendly reminder to make life easier as we continue to transition into our new practice management system...

Please have your most current insurance card ready at your appointments to verify your coverage during check-in. Inaccurate or unverified insurance information could lead to out-of-pocket payments...and we are trying to prevent that on your behalf.

Also, arriving 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment will be to your advantage as well. The appointment schedule is very full, so if you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will need to be rescheduled as the provider will not have time to see you.

We are beginning the transition into a new and modern Electronic Health Record and Practice Management system. We are doing our best to make this as smooth as possible but we do expect that we will have some challenges along the way.

This will take some time. So, we appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this transition.

Some of the most noticeable changes that you will see:

Most of our lab services will now be transferred to the MCH Lab. If your insurance has a non-hospital site of service preference, please be sure to let us know so we can send orders to the appropriate Laboratory to help you control these costs.

A great advantage to the new system is that we are excited to be offering is a patient portal that includes features such as patient check-in, patient account management, and direct messaging capabilities all via your PC, iPad, or mobile device. This feature is not functional yet but will be once the intial transition is complete.

We will also be offering auto text messaging appointment reminders and notifications for your convenience.

Again, change can be challenging for everyone, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this period.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Elizabeth Johnsen, MD will be joining our practice as a fulltime provider later this summer. Please join us in welcoming her, and her family, as they will be moving to the area following completion of her community-based OBGYN residency in Muskegon, Michigan. We wanted to share this inspirational story that was aired on WMUR yesterday from our wonderful staff member, Lisa. It takes courage to share a personal story and speaks loudly to her compassion for wanting to help others by turning the darkness of tragedy into the light of celebration and awareness. We are very proud of you, Lisa!

New Ipswich woman organizes recovery walks after son dies from fentanyl poisoning Tuesday was Fentanyl Awareness Day and a mom in New Ipswich is sharing her story after her son was killed from fentanyl poisoning.

Here is a good resource regarding the end of the continuous medicaid programs initiated during the pandemic and now, as it is in the past, those programs have ended and coverages are returning to pre-pandemic standards. This is a real thing that is effecting patients everywhere. We want to help inform you of the situation and provide some resources. We are dedicated to continue caring for you here at Monadnock OB GYN, and we will address it on a person by person basis.
