Mobility🤸♀️🧘🏽♂️
Improving your mobility is not only about recovering from yesterday's workout. It's also an investment in your future. Your body is ever-changing, and taking the time to stretch and recover today will save you from aches and injuries down the line.
Want some tips to improve your mobility?
1️⃣ Always warmup AND cooldown. Don't skip this essential time to prepare and repair your muscles.
2️⃣ Eat anti-inflammatory foods (when possible). These will help you recover faster and reduce the risk of injury!
3️⃣ Incorporate "active" rest time in your day. This is all about putting a concerted effort into quiet, reflective recovery time. Doing this will lessen stress AND help your body wind down.
4️⃣ Stretch, stretch, stretch. This should be thought of as an activity in and of itself (not just pre-and post-workout), because it's crucial to our body's wellness! Taking the time to do some light mobility exercises a few times a week will not only improve your flexibility, but it will encourage more rejuvenated muscles (leading to shorter recovery time, increased endurance, and more energy!)
