Saami Somi is a Georgian restaurant located in Philadelphia's iconic Reading Terminal Market.
Kupati stuffed baby bells.
Kupati is a traditional Georgian sausage that was one of our grandma's star dishes back in Tbilisi. Usually grilled on a mangal, baked in a ketsze clay pot or cast iron pan & topped w/ fresh herbs, pomegranate & onion, It's stuffed with lean beef & pork, often using salo as the fat component. It's seasoned w/ savory, barberry, coriander & cinnamon.
Kartuli-inspired tomato pie, topped with a spicy adjika tomato sauce on our house made focaccia. Made from local tomatoes, topped with a sprinkle of flaky salt.
Sweet Corn Succotash Penovani
Corn, Edamame, Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, Adjika, House Cheese Blend. Last of summer flavors with late summer ingredients.

So psyched for this incredible jersey collab representing Sakartvelo at this year's and made by our friends at . Come by to catch us this Saturday July 13th at the Icarus Cup Tournament. We will be routing for the Georgia squad while making mini-cheeseboats with refreshing Georgian sodas.
One of our favorite Georgian dishes that also happen to be vegetarian are Nigvziani or eggplant rolls. Beetroot, eggplant and spinach P'khali is minced and with walnuts, garlic & khmeli suneli and left to chill overnight to absorb all the flavor. The next day they are rolled into seated thin slices of eggplant which have also been cooled overnight. Finally we add our own touch by placing the rolls over labneh with a drizzle of sunflower oil and pomegranate garnish for a tart and refreshing burst of flavor. Photo by our friends

Ramps season is back! And we've been out foraging. Wild ramps are traditionally a beloved mainstay of seasonal tables in Georgia. Our specials this week include განძილი (Gandzili or wild foraged garlic) inspired ramp cheeseboat.
P'khali ფხალი one of our favorite Supra dishes and a healthy veggie option too. Our traditional go to's include beetroot, eggplant and bitter greens, puréed into a bahze walnut garlic paste and best with a sourdough shotis puri.
