Happy Birthday David!

Today is David’s Birthday. He was never one to make a big deal about his Birthday. Today, as you can imagine, is and probably will be the most poignant birthday of his we will ever experience. I have yet to communicate with everyone since his wake. I want to at this time thank everyone for your love and support on such a difficult day for us. The outpouring of love and number of people that took time out to honor his life was beyond overwhelming. In fact I have not really had the capacity to reflect on it. I am still taking things hour by hour. For those of you that couldn’t make it that day, I feel the love, no worries there. I’m sorry all I had for everyone that day was a greeting, but in reality I think if I had all the time in the world that is all I could have mustered. I hope to at some point to catch up with each and everyone of you as the one thing I can reflect on from that day is how fortunate I am to have so many people in my life that I love so much. I would spend an evening with everyone of you and love every moment. Thank You Everyone again from every part of my being. Happy Birthday David Hentz! You left a hole in our lives as big as your personality. Be safe everyone and please take the time to check out a sunset or smell a flower and certainly call someone and tell them you love them. If you could do it in honor of David’s Birthday I know that would make him so freaking happy! Post the pictures for me, that would make me smile.

I am beyond words from the outpouring of Love. Thank You!

It is with unmeasurable sadness that I am posting this. Last night Sunday March 4th at 12:35 am David James Hentz left this life. There is never enough time. There are never enough words. If his plans worked out… he is cooking a meal with Anthony Bourdain while Chris Cornell is singing for them. I will give information on his Irish Wake as soon I can.

I miss seeing your faces, catching up, feeding you, quenching your thirst, cheering on the Eagles, playing cards against humanity, late night dart games and people watching on 2nd st! Let me know what’s going on with you! I have started a new career! I am now working for a new dispensary in NJ. I would love love love if that’s your thang to have you stop by and see me some time if your near Hammonton NJ. At the very least could I asked you to share, like, or follow our page. When and if you stop in I can’t promise you David’s Balls on a plate nor can I promise you Candy Cane lights but I can promise you a big smile, a big hug and perhaps a small tear! Saying Goodbye during Covid was so hard!

I have needed a few days to post. Thank You everyone who was able to join us for our epic goodbye! Thanks for wearing mask and social distancing. I know many of you who couldn't make it were here in spirit. I am keeping our page open and will check in with yall now and then. I will be at The Pig everyday until Saturday packing up. If anyone wants to stop by to say one last goodbye. If anyone is bored I will welcome assistance and bribe you with something just message me if you want to experience that. We are unfortunately under a tight time constraint to vacate. We will he charged another months rent if we are not done by Saturday. Love you all! See you when I see you!

We will open for our final day at 2:00. The first 14 customers will receive one of these!!

Counting down the last 72 hours of The Pig. We are open.

Our last day will be the 11th. 2nd street will be closed to vehicles so we can spread out as needed. Sure hope to be able to see some of you to say Goodbye!

It is time for The Blind Pig to say goodbye. We are very sad to say that we will be unable to weather Covid. Our very last call will be July 11th. We will drop the mike, draw the curtain, put the kid to bed etc. etc. etc. Ironically this coincides with our nine year anniversary. We will be having a ceremonial wiping off of our cherub chalk pigs that have adorned our walls since we opened around 10:00pm but we will there all weekend and the days leading up to then to givevairhugscsndcsay our goodbyes. There is a gofundme set up on our behalf In hopes that we don't lose everything (we need to pay back rent in order not to). We may still. I want to thank everyone that has been able to donate. It is humbling. We can't give enough thanks to everyone for your support through the years. It has been an honor serving you and being a part of the community. The countless memories and friendships we gained along the way we are that much richer for. So cheers for now. We hope yonder you to raise a glass one last time. Stay Safe! Stay Strong!

What a Beautiful Day! We are open today at 5:00. We have a limited food menu as well as drinks to serve you! We also will be open tomorrow at 1:00. As many of you know and for those that don't, The Blind Pig is struggling as many are from the effects of Covid. I humbly post a Gofundme that was started by our friends. I can't express enough gratitude to everyone that has been able to donate as well as gratitude to everyone for your support over the years. I have a notebook at the bar that I hope many of you can stop by and sign. It is my keepsake so I can look back years to come and relive so many many wonderful memories. I will keep everyone posted as we take each day and try and figure out how to maneuver through this crazy situation. Happy Thursday almost Friday! Chewy will be at the bar tonight selling to go beers! David will be cooking up a few menu items. We will also be open Friday for Happy Hour New Orleans style.
