Don't let this upset you as upsetting as it is to us. We will be back and stronger. This is just temporary. There are those that are probably pleased to see this or were hoping this was permanent but we will disappoint them. We are in the thick of it with insurance and inspectors. Timing we are unsure of right now. But, all updates in our typical fully transparent way will be posted here. Thank you for the prayers, calls and messages of concern. This is temporary. Just wait until we open those doors again! We can't wait to see you and hope like hell youll be there when we do! ☮️❤️🥨

We had a small electrical fire happen this afternoon. Everyone is fine. God is good in that people were there to witness it before it became is huge issue. Having said that, we will be CLOSED UNTIL AT LEAST MONDAY, 10/3. I will update you. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes you. Please say a prayer for the availability of parts and the time needed to safely operate. ☮️❤️🥨

Let's discuss RUMOR mills.

They are called that because that's what they are and what they perpetuate: FALSITIES. We've received an odd amount of calls in the last 2 weeks from people being surprised that we are open and it made us stop and ask why are you shocked and where the hell did this bu****it start? The responses have been "we were told", "we saw an article", "we heard it somewhere".

Let me pull the plug and put this to rest and bury it far in the ground right now. We are OPEN. We are NOT CLOSED or CLOSING. Please tell everyone you know. Share it far and wide. Help us to squash this ridiculousness.

We post on our socials (FB, IG, TikTok) daily so we figured that would be enough to let people know we are very much in business and operational to the general population, in both retail and wholesale capacities. Not to mention the new products that have come out such as the Pragel, the sticks the S'mores and everything seasoned Pragel; the new swag merchandise like the awesome shirts we offer; the recent articles; the nomination for Best of Philly Soft Pretzel in the Metro; features on various YouTube channels (check out South Philly Spots and one coming up on the Vice Channel); magazines such as the amazing Rowhome Magazine and Bake Magazine and SNACK, etc. We wouldn't say yes to features or come up with new products or put the effort into everything we do here if we didn't plan to be around for another generation of pretzel makers and eaters. This isn't us tooting our own horn here, but the need to show how these rumors are very much that: rumors.

We are proud to open that door each and every day and greet you just as my father did. To this day, the stories and memories you share with us about Center City Pretzel Co. make our day. And, we hope that we continue to make your's. This month marks 42 years in business because of your continued support and patronage.
