Here are hints to encourage & promote healthy habits.
1. Ensure your child's glasses fit well. Ill-fitting glasses can cause discomfort, headaches & may even discourage them from long-term wear. Regularly check for signs such as, red marks on the nose & behind the ears. Bring to us at ANY time for free adjustments.
2. Teach your child the importance of keeping their glasses clean by regularly wiping lenses with a microfiber cloth. This practice helps maintain clarity of vision & prevents the buildup of dirt & oils which can cause eye infections.
Protect Your Eyes from Digital Eye Strain: With the increasing use of digital devices like computers, smartphones & tablets, women are prone to experiencing digital eye strain. To mitigate this, follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and look at something 20 feet away.
Regular Eye Exams During Pregnancy: Pregnancy can bring about changes in hormone levels that may affect vision. It's crucial for pregnant women to undergo regular eye exams to monitor any changes and ensure optimal eye health. Conditions like gestational diabetes can also impact vision, so early detection through eye exams is essential.
Choose Makeup Products Wisely: Eye makeup, such as mascara, eyeliner & eyeshadow, can harbor bacteria if not used or stored properly. To prevent eye infections, replace eye makeup regularly (every 3-6 months), avoid sharing makeup with others, and remove makeup before sleeping to prevent irritation and potential damage to the eyes. Additionally, opt for hypoallergenic & fragrance-free products to minimize the risk of allergic reactions & irritation.
