Our final Member Feature interview features Cicely.
Cicely has been a member of Weavers Way Co-op since 2012 and her home store is Mt. Airy - especially Across the Way. Wellness is her favorite department and she primarily shops skincare. Some of her go-to products are Dr Bronner’s Rose Pure Castile Liquid Soap, Weavers Way and Country Life vitamins, and Aura Cacia Bath Salts.
Another valuable aspect of the Co-op for Cicely is having access to healthy, fresh, and locally sourced foods with the addition of sustainable, fairly traded products. We couldn't agree more!
As a working member, Cicely usually gets her hourly quota by proofreading our monthly newspaper The Shuttle, or she will recruit her sons to work the hours in the stores.
Thank you for being a member Cicely, see you soon in Mt Airy!

Co-op members -- we appreciate you! Tomorrow, October 19th thru Sunday, October 27th, we're celebrating Member Appreciation during which all members will receive an extra 5% off one purchase at any of our main grocery store locations as well as one purchase at Across the Way or Next Door, the Farm Market and the Mercantile. This extra discount stacks with your existing senior discount, working member, or Food for All discount! This discount is our way of saying THANK YOU for being a co-op member.
Want to help members in our community access healthy and sustainable products at the Co-op? Our Food For All program, which offers a 15% daily discount, and reduces membership to $5/year, has grown in numbers, and we are thrilled! We would like to continue to grow the program, and ensure it is sustainable – with your help!
How? Join “Round Up / Dollar Up for Food For All,” which automatically rounds up or adds $1 to your co-op purchases. It is simple to join, your contributions are tax deductible, and you can opt out at any time.
We hope to have 1000 members enrolled in Round Up / Dollar Up for Food For All by the end of 2024. We have approximately 650 enrolled, so that is only 350 more member-households. Help us reach our goal!
To join, log into the Member Center and check out “My Donations.” You can also ask your cashier for an enrollment form.
All “Round up” and “Dollar Up” contributions will go directly toward offsetting the cost of the Food for All program, allowing the Co-op to increase our community’s access to healthy, sustainable food and decrease barriers to membership. Thank you for your support!
(Interested in Food For All? Visit our website www.weaversway.coop/foodforall for info on how to join. And, remember, if you enroll in FFA, and are a working member, you get a daily 20% discount at the Co-op!)
