Vision for Equality is offering a Mini-Retreat for Caregivers of Children with ID/Autism (Birth-5) on March 27th and June 28th, 10:00am – 2:00pm Rivers Casino, Philadelphia.

If you are a caregiver to someone with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, including autism, you are invited to join for a mini-retreat for time to connect with other caregivers and learn about simple, yet effective ways to recompress while connecting with other caregivers. Lunch and snacks will be served. There will be a Gratitude wall, Reflexology, Chair Yoga, Meditation, Journaling, Group Discussion, and more.

Winter's chill is just around the corner, and I've got some heartwarming news to share. Northeast Family YMCA is receiving a bundle of brand new children's winter coats from the Auto Dealers Caring for Kids Foundation, all set to keep our community cozy.

Monday, 10/16, between 4 PM and 6:30 PM at the YMCA. A dedicated team will be there, ready to assist with distribution.

A few quick details to keep things running smoothly:
🧥 One coat per person
📏 Please know your size when you arrive
🏡 You have to there in person to get your coat

Sizes are available from 2T to Adult XL, but supplies are limited. Let's ensure our neighbors stay warm and snug this winter. ❄️🤝

Workshop U has space for 25 young adults (18-25 years old) to join their first cohort. This is a part-time program meeting for two days and it will run for 10 months. Students will participate in classes, a paid internship and receive coaching. We are working with a partnering college so that all of these experiences roll up into college credit.

The highlights are:

- It's FREE (we have grant money to cover tuition)

- Students can earn up to 18 college credits

- It's part-time (two days per week)

- Everyone will have a paid internship

- Classes and internships are in-person

Workshop U will help you figure out what you want to do next and get you on the path to do it!
