Our Story
Jefferson Head and Neck surgeons specialize in the care of patients with disorders of the head and neck. This includes patients with cancers of tha larynx (voice box), oral cavity, nasal cavity and sinuses, and pharynx (throat: tonsils and base of tongue). In addition, we treat diseases of the salivary glands and surgical disorders of the thyroid.
The management of head and neck cancers often requires a multidisciplinary approach involving cancer and reconstructive surgeons and medical and radiation oncologists. We coordinate this care with our speech and swallowing specialists, nutritionists, cancer care coordinator and specialized nursing staff to optimize the care of our patients. As a team we strive to deliver effective, rapid, and coordinated care to our patients as they deal with the complex issues surrounding their health.
