Fighting for democracy,
addressing crises of mental health,
& building inclusive livable communities
I’m beyond excited to greet in Philly today for the first time as our nominee.
Having a hometown VP would’ve been special for Pa and Montco folks, but Gov Tim Walz is a great pick as PA people get to know him.
We WILL win Pennsylvania & make history electing Madam President.
See you at the rally. Let’s get to work!
Avi is in a “shiny objects” phase. He loves my new accessory: The Commissioner Pin!
It’s Tuesday. You were snowed in and asleep while the Montco voter services team was ready to go at 5:15AM for today’s special election in North Penn. We’re ready for *every* election in 2024. 🗳️
Great to welcome the President of the United States to Montgomery County in the same venue we were sworn in. Not a bad second day as Commissioner! All the people behind us are leading the way to historic turnout in 2024.
County government is the bedrock of democracy. It’s where we safeguard our fundamental right to vote - the right that every citizen can use to shape our shared future, the right that protects all other rights.
As your County Commissioner, I promise that in , no matter who you support, no matter what outside pressures come upon us, we will protect Every 👏🏾 Single 👏🏾Vote. 🗳️
For our nearly 900,000 residents, we will deliver on the essential needs of our communities: fixing our roads and bridges, addressing housing affordability and homelessness, supporting mental health services, and much more.
, it’s time to get to work.

Let’s go.

Ready to make history as Montgomery County Commissioners on Jan 3. Join us in person for inauguration! http://www.montgomerycountypa.gov/swearingin

We made history in Pennsylvania tonight. 🇺🇸Thank you Montgomery County. 🙏🏾
So many people have supported us along the way — and we can’t thank you enough. I will be the first Indian American / South Asian / AAPI person ever to be elected as a County Commissioner in Pennsylvania’s history and also the youngest in the majority in Montco’s modern history, serving alongside , the first Black woman elected Commissioner here in Montgomery County.
Together, we’ll represent 865,000 people and cover issues that touch every aspect of our community’s lives: criminal justice, healthcare, climate, education, infrastructure, elections, and so much more.
Friends who know me remember when I first made a run for office back in 2016. Trump pulled off an upset in PA, and I lost like many Democrats. The two words I posted that night were, “We tried.”
This time it’s better: We won! And we made history. And we’ll protect the vote in 2024.
This win was not something that took a few months of campaigning. It was a culmination of years of work — mostly supporting others in their campaigns and advocacy. Thanks to the people who noticed, who remembered. I wouldn’t be here if years of work didn’t leave me surrounded by an amazing team of genuine friends who knew and believed in me.
It’s a special feeling when it all adds up in life. Now it’s time to serve and make a difference.
It’s been a long time coming.
I hope I make you all proud.
