Congratulations to the Industrial Trades Program graduates for taking the next step in their career journeys!
In partnership with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) and PIDC's The Navy Yard, the inaugural three-week Industrial Trades Program prepared participants for NSWCPD's Industrial Trades Developmental Program (ITDP). Graduates entered permanent, full-time, union careers earning $25/hour to start.

The West Philadelphia Skills Initiative (WPSI) is excited to announce the fourth annual class of WPSI Scholars! Twenty-five Skills Initiative alumni have been selected to receive scholarships, amounting to a total of $97,500. This is the largest amount awarded to a single cohort of Scholars so far. The last-dollar scholarship program is made possible by generous donations from the Hummingbird Foundation and the Chappell-Culpeper Foundation. We are now recruiting from Philadelphia county for training and job opportunities as a Clinic Aide in partnership with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia! Clinic Aides earn $17/hr to start and if hired receive the supervised training, experience, and support to register for the Medical Assistant Certification exam without enrolling in a certification training program, so the desire to grow professionally at CHOP is a must!
