In Memoriam - Phil Harvey
Center for Independent Thought mourns the loss of Phil Harvey, a friend of the liberty movement, innovative entrepreneur, defender of free speech, and crusader against censorship.
Our friends at The Cato Institute created this touching video tribute to Phil. Our entire team extends our deepest condolences to Phil’s wife, Harriet Lesser, and his loved ones.
Earlier this year, Stossel TV featured Phil’s latest book, Welfare for the Rich, and discussed with his co-author, Lisa Conyers, how taxpayers help the rich and well-connected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwpIBJ3jbFA

We are saddened by the passing of our friend Bob Chitester, founder of In the Classroom Media, the precursor to our Stossel in the Classroom project.
Bob was a visionary and educator, who saw the growing impact of video and created the Free to Choose Network to promote liberty to millions of TV viewers and students. Through his production of the award-winning PBS series Free to Choose, Bob brought the principles of personal, economic, and political freedom into living rooms throughout America and made Milton Friedman a household name. Bob never stopped working relentlessly for liberty. He made the world a better, freer place.
