The ideal candidates will have had previous customer service experience, work well with others in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, be on time and arrive with a positive attitude ready for their shift. Our cocktail bar concepts are high-volume and require individuals who work well under stress and can manage their time attending to guests. Must have evenings and weekends available to work.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow from a dynamic team of hospitality and bartender professionals, as we have plans to open future locations. We also offer full-time employees medical benefits after an initial probation period, and pay is great!

Here are the average hourly rates per position:
Bartenders - $9.15/hr + tips ~ $50-60/average hourly rate
Barbacks - $9.15/hr + tips ~ $30/average hourly rate
Servers - $9.15/hr + tips ~ $40/average hourly rate
Hosts - $15/hr + tips ~ $19-20/average hourly rate
BOH Kitchen Prep - $15/hr + tips ~ $19-20/average hourly rate

This upcoming Wednesday we are celebrating the 1,000-year-old holiday, St. Patrick's Day, by bringing back our Breakeven Bottle program.
Redbreast 27-Year-Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey made our personal "Top 5 Best Spirits Ever Tasted" List this past year (Yes, you are correct to assume that we tasted a lot of whiskey while we were closed due to COVID-19 last Spring and Summer). This whiskey has been triple distilled, matured in the finest bourbon, sherry, and ruby port casks for no less than 27 years, and left untouched. The bottle being featured is their 2021 release.
Typically retailing for nearly $70 per ounce, we are offering this beauty in a one-ounce pour to the first 25 guests who order it for only $13.79 per ounce. Limited to one-ounce per guest.
What's a "Break-even Bottle?"
Just what it sounds like. Periodically we get a great high-end (often times allocated or hard-to-find) bottle and we love it so much that we want to share it for the same price we purchase it at. We make zero profit on the bottle, but are able to share a once-in-a-lifetime pour with those that will appreciate it as much as we do.

When we first opened Century Grand, The Grey Hen Saloon was primarily a whiskey shop with a small classic cocktail menu. In March when we had to close due to COVID-19, we had to make some big adjustments to our business model. We launched an online shop to continue selling our whiskey selection as well as other spirits and liqueurs. When we decided to re-open for in-person service, we decided to spruce the space up a bit and offer a cocktail menu that was comparable to Platform 18.

Now, we are exclusively a cocktail bar that offers our vast whiskey selection in neat pours for guests and we still offer our liquor (primarily whiskey) and wine selection in our online shop, which is available for curbside pick-up.

Sometimes a simple and refreshing cocktail is all you're looking for.
Grapefruit and basil has been an extremely popular combination of ingredients in Arizona for nearly twenty years now (with the OG Grapefruit Basil cocktail originating at Jade Bar at Sanctuary).
Citrus is one of the 5 C's of Arizona, which served an important role in the economy in the early years of the state, grapefruit being one of the top crops grown here. Of course, we can’t serve you a "basic" cocktail so we've added a few unique ingredients to spice it up a bit.

Inspired by a New Orleans turn-of-the-century apothecary, Antidote No. 13 is one of our new cocktails featured on the Grey Hen Rx menu. Cleverly, ingredients that may have been used in days past for specific remedies are featured in many of these cocktails. This concoction claims to assist with possession by drawing out negative spirits, feelings, or associated pain.

We're sad to share that we made the difficult decision to close for the rest of this week in response to a staff member testing positive for COVID-19 to allow the remainder of our staff to get tested and receive a negative test result prior to returning to work. This is a precautionary measure since we have always taken the spread of COVID-19 very seriously.
Based on the CDC's definition of a "close contact" it is very unlikely that our staff member would have been in contact with any guests long enough to be considered a risk of exposure during a recent visit.
Regardless of our cute little nook being closed for cocktails this week, that doesn't mean we still have things to offer!
