I have exciting news to share….! 
 
After almost a year without one, I have finally found and hired a new co-stylist/assistant to join you and I in the salon during our hair appointments together. YAY!
 
Everyone please welcome Natalie to the salon fam! 
 
She is fresh out of Cosmetology school and very eager to get started behind the chair and I can’t wait for you to meet her. She will be taking clients starting in the new year- until then, let’s make her feel right at home in the salon assisting me, giving you the hair of your dreams!

Here are 3 fun facts to help get to know her:
 
-Another Phoenix Native (they’re rare I tell ya!), she loves spending her time outside golfing, running long distance and playing sports of all kinds.
 
-As the oldest of 3 sisters, quality time is very important to her. She became interested in the beauty industry because her mom (esthetician) and sister (nail technician) also have careers doing it too, and she hopes one day that they can all work together.
 
-Her favorite thing behind the chair, besides giving you the blonde hair you’ve always wanted, is helping women feel more confident and more beautiful than when they came in.

2022 was a year of so much growth personally and professionally!

Here are some quick holiday hair hacks!

Great for this weekend and New Years too!

If you know me I am all about quick and efficiency in everything but especially when it comes to my hair and styling.

1. Use an accessory- I like headbands and bows or clips with a little glam.
2. Add a braid- instantly makes your style feel more elevated
3. Keep travel sizes on hand- in ur purse in ur diaper bag, in ur car- so ur ready to fluff up your hair in a pinch!
4. Root cover spray and texture spray are your bffs- for all my grey gals, I highly recommend keeping a root touch up spray handy for color refreshes!
5. Always have it curled- this one might seem silly but if it’s already curled, you can elevate with any of these hacks in no time at all. Your base is already done and boom you add a braid or a glitzy headband and your ready to go!

I can’t believe the day is here 😭😭😭

Today is the last day is assisting me in the salon and although I knew the day would come it doesn’t make it any easier!!

I know I can speak for all my clients when I say we will miss her soo much!!

Sooo excited to officially be able to offer this service for all my fellow stylists.

I had the opportunity to have a shadower come into my salon suite and hang out for the day, and to mentor someone (other than my assistants😉) on a more personal level was so fulfilling- to be able to give back to the next generation of stylists is rewarding on a whole other level.

I also love shadowing stylists- I find I learn an incredible amount and LOVE talking all things hair and business. There is so much that goes into doing hair and running a buisness that we all should be helping each other succeed and grow TOGETHER!

"Why is my hair so staticy??" Something I hear constantly and also something to just plan for when the seasons start to change. I always recommend a great brush and comb and LOTS of moisture to help combat all that static (AKA dryness).

Here's a great guide to help you decide which brush is right for you. 
 
 
✨Wood Paddle Brush is the perfect brush for curly haired gals and guys. Keeps the coils separated and the specially designed bristles keep frizz under control.
 
✨Vented Round Brush comes in a variety of sizes for any length of hair and helps create a voluminous smooth finish. The metal also speeds up your drying time which is a huge plus!
 
✨Wide Tooth Comb is best for fine hair. Can be used for detangling wet hair or raking out your finished iron curls.
 
✨Detangler Comb with handle makers long hair detangling a breeze. Anti static and lightweight. I love this for my little ones and when I want to comb through my deep conditioner in and out of the shower.
 
✨Boar Bristle Brush makes a great staple for every head. This brush evenly distributes hair oils down the shaft of your hair, creating shine, promotes a healthy scalp and is a no brainer for extensions.  So soft it glides right over the base and is my go-to for tender heads.

What a difference Extensions make!

Here’s an amazing before and after of what a full head of 22” extensions can do for you! My client Meg has very fine frizzy curly hair and likes to change things up quite frequently. Her previous color in the before photo was at least 6 months grow out and she was ready for another change. We went full blonde but still gavd her a soft rooty look to be able to grow out nicely. And good thing because, ya know, COVID-19 happened. Then I installed a full head of tape in extension for added length and fullness. Now she’s Rapunzel.

So when all this is over, and salons are open again, who’s on board for getting some extensions?! Message me and we can see if this method is right for you!l

Talk about perfect timing for a chop! New client says “I think I want to just chop it off!” Me: OK!!! She also requested a more low maintenance color given the circumstances so we did a full head reverse balayage to bring in some depth and some of her natural color and just brightened up around her face with lightener. And can you even handle it, no toner needed either 😍 This is the last transformation I did in the salon a couple weeks ago 😭
