I'm back! Today was wonderful! I missed working behind the chair! I love my new studio and how bright it is and full of good energy! I love my sweet patient clients who made my day today! I'm getting used to my mask... I'm terrible at my new check out system though definitely still learning! But all in all today was great. Happy Wednesday friends! @ Modern Hippie Salon

Hi friends, it's with heavy heart I have decided to close the salon for now. This is all temporary. And once it's deemed safe I will re open. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with me last night! I can't believe 5 years has come and gone already here. I never thought opening my own little business would be so rewarding. It definitely has come with it's ups and downs but I love the space I've created, the relationships I've built, and the feeling of success I have for something I've worked so hard for. A lot has happened over 5 years! Taking the leap of faith moving my clients 10 miles north 😬 (thanks for relocating!!) buying our first home (down the street! So close!), Marring my best friend👫, aquiring a new furry best friend (Murf🐕) and now getting ready to have a baby🐣 (June!) This "little" business I built has created quite the dream life for us❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️ I am forever grateful and and all the rest of the support from CLIENTS, friends and family for giving me this opportunity😊

I love what I do and wouldn't have it any other way. Our job as stylists is to not only make you look good but to make you feel good. Our clients confide in us and share pieces of their lives when they sit in our chairs. I want you to know that when you sit and tell me your story, you are heard. I relate to your highest of highs and lowest of lows. I get excited at your accomplishments and get saddened by the challenges that life presents to you. Thank you for the honor of letting me into your lives. My hope is that your time in my chair not only makes you feel good, but at the end of the day my job is to add positivity. : Don’t be afraid to rock a little grease in your hair💁 how often people wash their hair is up for debate. I'm hear to inspire you... (Or gross you out🤷) This hair is 9 days dirty. I've GONE as long as 18 days without washing before. Every person is different though obviously. And I've trained my hair for years doing this. But I would like to break the cycle that your not "clean" if you haven't washed your hair. My hair braids better with little fly aways staying in place. My hair is healthy and strong. It forces me to be creative wearing it up. My scalp isn't dry or flaky. I've rocked some very cute hats! I've educated many ppl on the health benefits of the natural oil your scalp reproduces and how GOOD it is for the health and wellness of you hair! So I challenge you as we approach the weekend... Skip a few washes. Braid your hair, wear a cute hat... Just try it. Even if you start slow, every other day washes. And gradually get to every 3rd day then 1x a week. I guarantee!
